You can see how crucial Savard and Xhekaj was to this team's defense. They were struggling hard in their own zone. The shootout was fun to watch tho

Ylonen will get more playing time, Caufield's drought is over, Slafkovsky just keeps getting better, St-Louis putting him out in OT, Newhook was terrible in OT, A healthy scratch for Josh Anderson will be necessary, Struble's good these past two matches in California, one person on Twitter tweeted as a Hot Take that he will be better than Arber Xhekaj, that's too early to speculate, but we will see.

I can't wait for Andy to wake the F up! He needs to practice his shots, he looks so anxious and depressed, I wonder if it's purely a mental blockage... Tell yourself 10 times you're trash and you'll become it, downgrading to what you hate about yourself... He needs to take care of himself before he ends up in the AHL for good

I think Strubble will get better than Xhekaj but less useful in a way so I'm guessing they'll trade him if he's too good to be in the AHL and not enough to surpass Ghule, (Matheson), Hutson and Xhekaj

Interesting that the sharks outshot an opponent for the first time this season. Eklund got his first of what will hopefully be many multi point games.

Was there holding/interference on Suzuki at 4:46 that led to the Sharks second goal? Or is that too weak to call a penalty? Also Caufield was on the ice way too early on that 3 on 3 opportunity

I've been saying this for a long time now. It doesn't matter if you cheer for a team like SJ or Columbus, or one of the original 6 like Montreal or Toronto. If you're a fan, you have to support your team no matter how good or bad things get.

Well, San jose Shark'd it. Up 2-0, and you might've thought "Hey, they're up by 2, with half the game left. Maybe they could hold on." Nope. Never believe in the Sharks. They'll almost definitely let you drown. 😂

This is exactly what the sharks need 1 goal losses. Some players get positive stats and the team can still get a sure thing top 3 pick in the first 2 rounds with the worst record. MTL looked like they got away with a few uncalled penalties which is more a knock on the refs. Hertl would be a point a game player on a good offensive team but on the Sharks they could have just traded his cap for a free 2nd round pick or 2 3rds every single season. Paying out big contracts when a team is already bad is just foolish. I say that as no disrespect to Hertl but 8 mill in cap room there is multiple teams that would want to trade for that each season.
