@@andrewmalanchuk2432 Demko’s had 8 straight starts so I think he needed a rest. There’s no reason to start your 1st goalie that much when your backup is pretty good as well.

The same coaching staff/management that believes Juulsen is an NHL defenseman. Also, Cole wasn’t taking his man on that 6-5 goal. Came sliding over to try and block the shot instead…

@@andrewmalanchuk2432 well I mean demko still at least is in the top 10 for save percentage and goals against on average. Statistically and analytically he is actually pretty good. He definitely had a weak game last night though. As for desmith he has lost 2 out of his 4 games so far with a 3 GAA and .907 sv%

Simply put. Tyler Myers is pathetic. When he beat Hughes to the puck in the 3rd I couldn't believe he just passes it directly to him. It is a miracle the Devils didn't score. Why does he think it's ok to pass the puck to the opposition? He does it every game.

Actually the Devils did score on that play which is why we all hate his giraffe style of play. Why does management still have him, his no grade clause expired in the summer, they need to dump his pathetic ass somewhere just not playing, send him to Abbotsford or something, just get rid of him!

Don't forget bad goaltending. Yes defense is poor but at some point one of these goalies has to show something. Vitek has picked up this season right where he left off against the Rangers. Now I know why he's a career backup. We need a goalie or this season will not go far

@@deansmith6593 he’s givin us glimpses of good goaltending. We can’t put all the blame on him when the positioning with the defense and back checkers is lack luster. The defense breakdown is an issue, yes we would like to see more saves out of vitek but it starts with cleaning up the defense.

It's about perception for some people. According to the stats, TM is +11, which is third among the teams' defensemen. Mind you, I do not think he plays a lot of power play, but I could be wrong. Last year, Erik Karlsson was scored on multiple times, but he also scored a lot so he was appreciated.

1 year ago today the Canucks complete the comeback against the Montreal Canadiens. Today they did the comeback but couldn’t hold on to it, the defence was horrible tonight.

Same thing in reverse from my Devils fandom. "OMG boys this is good it's 5-2, we can stand strong and win. Then it's OMG now it's 5-5 and nail-biting all the way." Roller coaster of emotions from both our stand points. But can't say this wasn't an exciting game!

Ian Cole was the biggest liability in the last minute of this game that could've been an extra point for the team. Instead of passing to an open teammate behind the net, he tried to shoot the puck out of the zone that was blocked inside the blue line by the opposing defense, I knew at that turnover moment that the Nucks are screwed. Had he passed the puck back to an open man behind the net, the opposing D would've backed up right away and Canucks would have the option of carrying the puck out to centre or letting the time run out. Just an absolutely mindless play, he deserves to be a healthy scratch next game.

IKR, he had a WIDE open d man behind the net but chose to "softly" chip it up near side then Joshua leaves Bratt wide open like dude Cole has teh other guy. PROBABLY A GOOD IDEA TO COVER BRATT WHOS REALLY GOOD WITH 30S LEFT...

Cole has been great but he definitely messed up pretty badly there. Myers though, deserves a healthy scratch more than anyone on the team right now and it’s not even close imo.

That was a terrific comeback by the Canucks to come back from 2-5 and then tie the game with 3 consecutive goals!! But then with only 30 seconds remaining in the game, the Devils drive a dagger straight into the hearts of Canucks fans by scoring the go ahead goal which would prove to be the gwg! The Canucks are my #1 fav team and the Devils are my #2 fav team, so this was a very interesting game to watch! And all 3 Hughes brothers were playing in this game!

With only a few minutes left, why the hell would you put Pettey on? He is not playing his best and guess what? They get scored on. Also, Demko wasn't having a good game, Should of pulled him. Players cost or win games, but also coaching. In this case, bad coaching.

The Kings came from 3 down to win today. Even the Sharks came from 3 down to win today. The fact that the Canucks came back from 3 down only to lose in the last 30 seconds from a bonehead play really stings, you obviously see the safer pass options and Cole took the riskiest pass. I won't mention Myers since the rest of the comments here are already doing so. Also Hoglander doesn't deserve this after that 3rd period performance and giving Canucks that tying goal.

If this was the playoffs game 7, we’d have lost. Especially the way our defence was playing, with Myers in the line up as well, not a good sign. Not enough crisp passes, too many show off passes behind the back hoping to be the highlight reel. It’s a good thing it’s not the playoffs and only Dec. but clocks ticking and we’re already passed 1/4 of the season.

Too much room in front of demko, too many open lanes, defense standing around doing nothing half the time letting guys skate on by no problem. Not aggressive enough on the back checking, the other teams are getting in too easily sometimes. Need to disrupt the other teams passing more. Lots of room for improvement. Positives: the Canucks can score goals. It was a nice effort to turn the tables like that. GG

Jesus Christ. Still can’t put 2 consecutive wins against a team that’s barely over 0.500. Some of those meaningless wins from last year would’ve been better here. A Connor Bedard goal here would’ve helped.

Demko off night, should’ve been pulled after allowing 4 goals in the first period. Even though most of them weren’t on him, he couldn’t stop a beach ball tonight. Myers needs to be a healthy scratch, multiple games already where he has looked god awful. Don’t even get me started on Cole… should’ve just reversed it to Hronek for the easy clear.

Hopefully it isnt all the way down to the bottom now for the canucks after the red hot start. They have been quite terrible last month or so and are 4-6-0 in last 10.
