All credit to Slaf on the hatty, it's terrifying to see just what he's grown into, but keep in mind where the other two thirds of the goals came from: Every line scored, and only two forwards came out without at least a point. This was a team performance

very loose hockey. Flyers looked uninterested from the beginning. Maybe they sense they are not making the playoffs, even though they are only about 3 points back. I can't imagine what kind of mood Torts would have been after the second and third perods.

@@VGNtheunwise Not really. Hart only started 25 games and won only 12 of those. His stats weren’t exactly that great either. I think it was mainly Tortorella getting the most out of his team as usual. Philly was expected to be a bottom feeder this year before the season started.

Savard is an ideal defender with a good pass and has no problem making a break pass as he found Slaf for his third goal. I think that every forward plays well with such a defender. Congratulations, Juraj.

As a hockey neutral newby I've noticed how when Montreal do well their arena is absolutely rocking. The place & people must be mental next level when they go deep in the post-season? Defo 1 hella of a hockey town, I love a passionate fan base.

In Sept. of 2023, I said watch Juraj Slafkovsky. He'll break out with 20+ goals this season and the Montreal fans thought I lost my mind, that my thinking was all wrong, Slaf might score 10 goals for the whole entire 2023/24 season. If he was lucky. But I knew he was better than that.

Torts probably didn’t even go into the dressing room after the game… just let his complete absence do the talking lol I remember having those kinda games! The next day at practice our coach would laugh as we all stepped onto the ice and say, “whats with all the sticks and pucks? You won’t be needing those today!” Followed by power skating drills until you puke

Not to take away from the Canadiens win but this wasn't so much that the Canadiens were so great, they did play very well, but the Flyers just didn't show up? Mtl have a better team than most people think. Loosing a lot of game by only 1 goal, injuries and the 3 goaly rotation that did not help.. Young team booming , watch out ;)

The Habs are kind of like the Arizona Coyotes. They have some pieces to work with, but just not enough depth. Man, Philly is nosediving at the worst possible time! I'm a Habs fan, but when you give up nine goals to a team that's in the bottom quarter of the League's overall standings, that has to be an embarrassment!

Philly's problems are deep rooted in not listening to their coach. They are trying to play transition against Montreal. That's not a good idea. No team should try that. Montreal isn't a good team, but the one thing they do well is transition play. If the flyers play Torts system, this isn't close.

@@silentboy1012 Not every regional broadcast team defaults to sounding completely disinterested when their home team is getting blown out. If the fans aren't enjoying the game, they can tune out. They don't need the broadcasters to perform disappointment for them. If I'm choosing to watch the game while my team is losing, I want the commentators to sound like they're watching the game as well.

Yes it's his first hat trick and he's the second youngest player to do it in habs history. The only one who did it younger was Stéphane Richer. Richer around 2 weeks before hiting 20 and Slaf 1 week after hiting 20. It was close!
