@@darrin173 We aren't talking hockey we are talking football and any one that understands the game understands what I'm talking about. It happened in the 3rd quarter. Go rewatch it and you may come to understand what I'm saying. Similar mistake was made in the Superbowl as well. The games felt fixed due to gambling.

Absolutely, and the Avs inconsistent play looking is like another early round exit. Jets are turning it on at the exact right time. And I'm an Avs fan.

@ABagofDeadSquirrels yeah, I was totally surprised by the way the avs played that game, knowing they needed that win as much as the jets did...I will be looking forward to the first round playoff games between these two teams, I'm sure it will be much better than this game..😆

I love coming to watch the Sportsnet replay and listening to how the broadcasters are more excited for a crossbar rebound of whichever team faces the Jets than for any of the seven goals scored by the Jets.

It shows the home team’s broadcast, genius. I’d hate to break it to you but the opposing team announcer probably isn’t gonna get super hyped about losing 7-0.

The Denver broadcasters are paid to help sell the home team product , so they're going to try to keep their customer base interested, even in a blowout loss. Winnipeg broadcasters and the broadcasters for every other team in the NHL all do the same thing.

Bad game for the Avs and always good to hear Moser commentating like he’s about to cry. But meaningless when it comes to round 1. Both teams are absolutely excellent, could be WPG’s goalies that tilt it but so hard to bet against MacKinnon. Looking forward to it though, as a neutral 😅

Midway through the game we lost the TSN (Canadian) feed and for a few minutes they switched us to whatever the local (American) feed was with their announcers...God that was hilarious! No wonder their fans boo players for setting up behind the net. The hockey IQ appears to be single digits in Colorado.

Big game with playoff implications and the Avs fail to show up. Now that's sad. The game was a perfect opportunity for Georgiev to show some improvement from his recent outings and instead the team went out and pulled a Georgiev.

Not sure how much to blame Georgiev since the Avs D in front of their net lately is limp-wristed, but 18 goals in his last four starts says the guy's not so good.

@@annemarie1507 In this game it looked like Georgiev probably missed one or two saves he shoulda had, but one of the better goaltended 7-0 blowouts I've seen. As a Jets fan, I don't watch a lot of Avs hockey, but goaltending is the one clear advantage Winnipeg has over Colorado. By the numbers, Georgiev is a slightly below average NHL starter, and there's not really a backup to speak of, but Winnipeg has the Vezina favorite and a backup who has better numbers in most every column but wins.

That was a serious warning for Avelanche for play offs. They will meet there again. Jets is a dangerous counter attack team with physically strong big center forwards. Those guys are hard to move out in front of the goalie. Plus Hellyenback as goalie. Gonna be intresting play offs ahead.

I don't mind the Avs, so whether they are successful or not isn't really bothersome to me. That doesn't take away from the fact that Altitudes announcers suffer from ignorance and are massive homers

Been a long time coming. I don't think Lord Stanley has been won here since 1902. Those three Avco Cup wins in the WHA back in the 70's were incredible but a Stanley Cup win by this new Jets team would be more than welcome.

If the Avs were actually booed off the ice, then maybe it’s better that they don’t have home ice. I’ve been an Avs fan all my life, I’ve gotta say this season the fans don’t deserve home ice playoff with how they’ve been acting and treating the team. It’s not just Avs fans, but a lot of hockey fans don’t seem to realize that playoff hockey is a whole different game, team turn it up and the regular season doesn’t matter.

Jets are for real, and not frauds like some say. They have beaten Colorado 3 games straight and in convincing fashion. They also just shut out the 1st place Stars, and have beaten other top teams this year. If their goalltending continues to play like this, they have a very good chance at winning the Western Conference title, and onward to the Stanley Cup finals. GJG

Avs golfing by Cinco de Mayo. Two statement games against the Stars and Jets, and the Avs weren’t even competitive in either…both at home. They don’t keep the puck out of their net. Their goals against is among the worst of the playoff teams. Between sloppy defense all year and mediocre at best goaltending, no way they beat Hellebucyk 4 times.

Embarrassing defensive effort. You play that way when you want your coach fired or you really don’t want to start at home in the playoffs. None of the above makes sense since relationships are good and who wouldn’t want to start at home. Guess the Avs just don’t know how to play meaningless games at half speed.
