@fr Yeah, I agree. Pickard is decent enough but he doesn't instill the confidence you need in a backup. And he looked terrible in that game against Minnesota. 3 very weak goals on only 17 shots. That's not going to take you anywhere in the playoffs or in the stretch heading in toward them.

@@Crxnosfrwe can hope. Skinner has been awesome, he should be the backup though. The management got lucky he can stand in as a starter. Look at what Mike Smith did in the playoffs. Our best hope would be another veteran tender that's cup hungry. It's too much pressure for a young goalie.

Tough loss for the Kings. Hiller needs to make some significant changes to the lines, because the finish on offense just isn't there. 23 goals over 9 games isn't enough from a team this stacked. The shot volume is evident, but it means nothing if you can't get the puck into the back of the net. They rank somewhere in the bottom half of the league in GF, and they need to be better than that. I know L.A. is dealing with injuries to major players, but you've got to overcome, and find ways to win. I just simply don't believe Hiller is capable of leading this team.. He's done an okay job, as a 6-3-0 record isn't bad by any means, but every game now is crucial for the Kings, and losses like this are tough to see. I hate to say it, but I'm excited for the end of the season, where hopefully Rob Blake is relieved of his duties. Too many poor decisions in recent years to justify his job any longer. I'm ready for a new era in L.A. Hopefully the Kings can rebound tomorrow against the Flames. Go Kings Go!

You watch the goals that the Kings scored they were the same mistakes that the Oilers had been making 2-3 years ago. Double teaming the puck and leaving the trailer open is a huge issue with this team. There's still a lot of young energy that they haven't been able to get over, specifically being able to trust their teammates on the 1 on 1s.
