The Lightning have to be one of the best teams when it comes to creating and converting on the high danger scoring chances they make. Kuch’s one touch passing is some of the best i have ever seen and its a nightmare for most teams to deal with.

Typical Oilers on a night where they finally get secondary scoring they allow 6 and McDavid/Draisaitl/Kane/Hyman go 0-0-0 and -2.

Oilers came to camp two weeks early, built themselves up in their own mind. Now the reality of how their season has gone doesn't match how they thought it should have gone. Leading to them mentally defeating themselves. I'm a life long Edmontonian and Oilers fan but all this organization does is try to relive its former glory. This is a mediocre built team that seems to have gotten high on their own perceived greatness, and are now having trouble living up to their own expectations.

When you think about it, Jack Campbell is having the last laugh. Seems that Campbell may have not been the problem after all. With Skinner posting an .873 SVP this season, going from a .914 SVP to a .783 SVP in the last 2 games. Nothing says reliability like those 2 Stats. The haunted house goaltending continues with Skinner, once again scaring the crap out of Oiler fans. The name Spookey Skinner is ambivalent at best, not exactly lending alot of confidence to the fan base. Meanwhile down in Bakersfield Campbell, who alone is worth more than the entire Bakersfield Condors franchise lol, sent a loud and clear message to Jackson and Holland. Campbell decided that 2 can play that game. You screw me and my career and I'll just keep letting in goals lol. Make no mistake Campbell's holding all the cards. The only options for the Oilers? Make Campbell ride the pine in the beer leagues down south for the rest of the year, buy him out, or bring him back to Edmonton and reinstate him as the offfical starter. Let's make one thing abundantly clear. Campbell stopped giving a flying f*** about the Edmonton Oilers when Jackson and Holland made the decision to use him as the fall guy and put him on waivers. Do you think Campbell and Woody have had a few fun private conversations on the phone in the last week or 2? Ironically, Edmonton was the worst and best thing that ever happened to Jack Campbell. Then, Tampa gets a bounce, kuchs goal, thats one where you just shake your head (bet Johanson was thinking the same, but that was a skill goal per them). Then how much they ride McDavids nuts, wow, don’t know how y’all listen to these dudes nightly. At least our guys trash us when we play trashy, or make trash plays….they also shoutout our opponents when they make great plays. That fourth goal was MAGIC on ice, any hockey fan can admire that, but the one main commentator, he barely announces the goal 🤣

Both my favourite teams! Lightning had some duds and Oilers looked like they're starting to get their stuff together so something had to give and it made for a thriller to watch!

Its how this team is built. Pretty good on one side of the puck, just atrocious on the other. I said it right in the opening minute of the 3rd, the Oilers were going to lose. You cant give up that much space and be that uncoordinated in your own end against a team like the Lightning. The Oilers have literally zero defensive awareness, its a bunch of guys that just want to score goals and are just a yard sale when they dont have the puck.

Like they are playing with one less player on even strenght. Guy literally backsoff from the offensive blueline to between the circles and THAT'S IT. This is WWE defensive quality.
