Damn, Hyman breaks his stick and goes to the bench for a new one, gets hit in the back with the puck when the Oilers are trying to clear the zone and Florida scores. Later, Verhaege loses his stick, Broberg trips over it, loses his man and Florida scores. The Oilers are like a Keystone Kops movie right now. But that first goal by McDavid was a beauty.

As a leafs fan I feel this, especially early this season - just not getting the bounces, puck luck be like that sometimes. Those games where you feel like your team has to work wonders for a goal and then other team just needs a point shot with a slight screen … the hockey gods can be cruel

I highly doubt it. Florida is a great team. They are only 3 points out of first in the East, only behind Boston and the Rangers. They have only lost 2 of their last 10 games. Bob was incredible after the early 1st period. Didn't let anything in and there were several great opportunities for Edmonton to score and they couldn't. Losing to Florida isn't something teams should be ashamed of. Goaltending on Edmonton's side wasn't the problem. Florida is just a better team.@@oisaux25

This Oilers team is one of the biggest failures the NHL has seen in a decade. They came into the season considered to be legitimate Stanley Cup contenders.

EVAN BOUCHARD...Watch replays of Florida's 2nd, 4th and 5th goals...Note who turns the puck over, doesn't cover his man, bobbles the puck ect ect ect. NO goalie would be successful with that disaster zone in front of him... They demoted a goalie and fired coaches but carry on handing BOUCHARD 20 minutes a nigght like nothing happened.....It's nauseating to watch.

@@JeffBillionaireBezosThe only "iffy" goal I saw, was the second goal. He did pretty good. He had not played a game in 16 days. Had not played in the NHL for over 2 1/2 years....He looked active and in good position. VERY aggressive on rebounds. He looks like a decent NHL back--up. But we have a giant hole on our blue line,(Bouchard) that will haunt ANY goalie they try out.

6:21...AND...6:27 of the 2nd Period in particular ...Goals 2,4 and 5....Same thing vs Tampa, Same thing vs Seattle. Same thing all year....Soft, unforced give aways, pucks bouncing over his stick, covering no one, mis-timed pinches...On the 4th Florida goal he was the 4th MAN BACK AND HE PLAYS DEFENCE!!!!....IO am talking about EVAN BOUCHARD of course. He is UTTERLY USELESS. He is costing this team games all year. They can demote goalies and fire coaches all they want. As long as that complete disaster gets 20 minutes a night they are doomed.

Oilers really suck this year. Defense looks really weak out there simple plays to get it out of the zone, and they elect to skate in the defense zone like idiots. No traffic in front of the net, no pucks going towards the net no greasy goals no heart. I would actually be happy if Leon or McDavid went to a team that can contend. I'm so sick and tired of watching these bums play.

Re-watch goals 2,4 and 5 tonight...then watch goals from the Tampa and Seattle games...all year really.....Wtch Number 2....On the 4th Florida goal he is THE 4th MAN BACK ON THE BACK CHECK....Evan Bouchard is THE SINGLE BIGGEST reason this team loses....and they insist on giving him 20 minutes a night. It's almost sado-masochistic to watch. He is UTTERLY USELESS defending. They can fire coaches and demote goalies all they want. As long as BOUCHARD the disaster waiting to happen, turnover machine is on this team they are going NOWHERE. In particular watch around the 6:21 ...AND...6:27 time frame of the 2nd period. He covers the wrong guy, cause an odd man rush, lazily skates back, (4th guy back and he plays "defence???")...and then the puck jumps over his stick, spins around and covers NO ONE.... He is a Circus Clown Show.

Should the oilers make a trade with the bruins or the sharks. Sharks have Kaapo Kakohnen and Mackenzie Blackwood Bruins have Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark Sharks are rebuilding so maybe dishing a prospect or two and a trade position should be a good move? Maybe at the Trade Deadline they could get some Defence from Calgary since a few of them want out?
