@@keldintetz7205 well okay, but then why did Fleury save twice as many? Fleury had the same quality shots and he saved them. Why cant skinner? You need a goalie to help you big in these situations. I am a fan of the oilers and I think that they will lose in the playoffs because of the goaltending. But we'll see.

I hate general broad stats like this cause it's like... did you see the QUALITY of the goals? Was it a slap shot from the point that gets tipped an inch from the goalies face he's powerless to stop from redirecting in? It's a bad lazy stat to point at

Bouchard can improve his defensive play, but he’s the guy this Oilers generation have never had before. A guy with a cannon shot, great eyes for an opening and deadly accuracy that can score from the point and does so with regularity. Guys like that are really hard to find. When he develops into the full package, he’s going to be a huge asset to this team.

They stopped focusing on defense and went back to playing their old system of outscoring their opponents? Lol

I believe coffee the most the guys got them playing solid D and that’s cut down on the goals being scored against them.

@@ryans413 in the beginning they were trying man on man and zone defense Woody was trying to get them used to playoff hockey. The guys couldn't grasp it. Coffey has the defense improving through cutting angles, but also engaging more, getting the puck up and behind teams. There was a lot of get the puck to a forward and have them skate it out. Half the time either McDavid going the whole length or Draisaitl with insane outlet passes. Now you see defense bringing it out or making good transitional passes. Question still remains though IF they make the playoffs, which is very different hockey, will they be able to shut down opponents or will they still be looking to win games 3-4, 4-5 oilers are 14th in GA with 83. Also have 83 for. Goals have gone down since Coffey took over but still no where near top Western teams. D is better under Coffey and their offense has improved no doubt.

Ok, heres where i get confused. Because of the editing. How did Minnesota give 2 powerplays to the Oilers? It was in 3rd period I thought?? Anyone know those details?

That final chop on Eckholm was the most oilers thing ever, the refs just not caring, it would have been nothing if the Wild didnt get a almost goal right after, I dont care if ther is 10 seconds left call the penalty, if the wild had scored on that chance then the oilers and their fans would have lost their minds

Hey man. Give them a break. Their jobs are going to be replaced by AI in the next 20 years. There will be whistles when there are infractions, but there will be no refs. A supercomputer in Toronto will do it instead. We will hate it even more.

Good effort by Fleury on his birthday. Sorry buddy but the Oil needed that win more. 6 on but need 10 in a row to actually have a chance. Skinner needs to come out every period with a brick wall mindset...

I was counting on your great 8 getting to at least 850 career goals this season, but perhaps age has caught up to him. Hopefully my reply to you nudges the hockey gods to lift their decrepit fingers and zap #8 the strength to reach 850 and smites me like the heathen I am.
