@@Milehighsnake98 Hat pick for sure. There was a bit of a hook on the play so the refs would have been justified in calling a penalty even if the fall wasn't influenced by it.

I really appreciate the chicago fans tossing hats on the ice and cheering for Ovi. It kind of doesn't matter who you root for, we're all cheering for the achievements this guy is accomplishing

Mrazek has those flashes of his best play, so streaky. As a lifetime wings fan, (die hard listening or watching every reg season game thru these thin years. Hell, I own an Athanasiou jersey) I love seeing Mrazek play well.

As much as like Ovi's 800th goal being a hat pick, I feel the ESPN commentary on the goal should be considered a Dang It as well because it was god awful.

While I'm thrilled about Ovi getting 800, I so wish it had been at home, with Joe B. and Locker (the Caps announcers) calling it, with Nick Backstrom assisting. But as a Caps fan, I get a chance to see history in the making every night. I swear, the PXP announcer calling Binnington's three-save sequence (around @7:06) sounded like Gilbert Gottfried.

As a beer league football (soccer) goalie who consistently makes weird saves by just reaching out to put a finger on the ball…HOW DO THESE GOALIES DO IT??? Paddle saves are my favorite. Also, I hate Binnington (Avs fan) but damn. DAMN!!!

Just before Point scored, the announcer said "A LIGHTNING GOAL". After Point scored, he should have immediately said "ANOTHER LIGHTNING GOAL". Missed opportunity and that's a Dangit

Ngl the call for Ovi's 800th was a bit disappointing to me, thats a momentous occasion and one of the play by play guys sounded almost bored. The main dude sounded great, but the "and here come the hats" guy needed a bit more enthusiasm

I was at the FLA BOS game the goal you picked was good but the hat pick was the save by Ullmark followed by the save by Forbort followed by the glove flash save by Ullmark

There should be 2 dang-its on ESPN with the game Ovi got to 800 goals. 1st, them playing the clip of Shanahan announcing the Hawks lineup when Ovechkin scored his first goal, and 2nd, that AWFUL call on his 800th goal.

Yeah the Hurricanes just won 4-1 over the Devils and the 4th goal scored should have been a hat pick cuz the way one of the canes scored should be one but this was posted 5 hours ago and canes just won

As you said, When Binnington is dialed, look what he can do. After the paddle save, he and Yamamoto slam into each other and Binnington jumps back unfazed. Not the best attitude for a goalie to have but he reminds me of 90's Lindros, Shanahan, and Messier who would play their asses off blowing everyone's mind, or get pissed and start hitting people.

I understand why he does it. Not proud of it (being a Blues fan), but I understand. When the team plays consistently like ass in front of him and wears him out, and he starts getting lit up, he throws fits like that to try to fire up his team. It worked the ONE time during pandemic hockey when the sharks scored 4 or 5 straight on us while we were basically pylons. Binner gets chased, essentially to no fault of his own, but takes that fake punch at EK65, and almost fights Dubnyk on his way off the ice. Somehow he caught lightning in a bottle there because suddenly the boys started playing harder and came back to win it from like 4 or so goals down. It worked once, so I guess he figures why not try again. Can't recall it ever working again, which is why now, it just looks like a temper tantrum, and it's pretty embarrassing...

McDavid's 26th goal was pretty unreal. Not surprised you would overlook it. Anyone else in the league does that and you would rave about it. Not exactly shocking that you would overlook an Oiler hat pick. Can't give Hyman some love for his first career hat trick. You sure do jump on those Oiler Dang its pretty quick and consistently though. No bias there at all.

I think Josh Morrissey having a 10 game goal streak should be a hat pick. His sick pass to Schiefele against Seattle, or to Conner against Ottawa, heck, his goal against Ottawa. The guy is playing the best hockey of his career. That's a hat pick.

Why are Konecny's insane goals not on any of these videos? He has an insane shorty to tie it. And one of the sickest moves, to backhand roof, to win it. Sure The Flyers suck right now. But Hart and Konecny are putting on clinics.
