Most organizations even permit some level of it because they know these athletes are the most entertaining. It is naive to think that athletes today have "evolved" or worked on better techniques. Great story. While living in Newmarket back in the early 90s I’d see him buzzing around in his Ferrari. Sometimes he would wave back at me.

I had a similar experience twice he was not well recieved at a bar in Sudbury...I had to go tell him I thought he was the best...made his day and mine...then 5 or 6 years later in Jamaica he was at at the resort bar I was staying at...he recalled my kindness amongst the hostile crowd in Sudbury. You never run 100m in a straight line in football. And it's no good having a slow start then gliding through at 60m like Lewis does, because in football that slow start will have got you tackled within 2 seconds.
