A basic and common error in this video unfortunately. The DST is a decision support tool not a decision making tool. It must not be used prescriptively or mechanistically to decide eligibility by scoring. The decision is made by the MDT using their professional judgement after they have used the DST as a structured evidence gathering tool. The domain weightings are a guide only and not having a high enough score does not necessarily mean you are not eligible. Paragraph 161 of the 2022 Framework and Coughlan case law test (in annex B) explain this principle.
