I had the pleasure of meeting Markus a decade ago. I’m 6’6”, 300 lbs and the first word that came to mind when I saw him in person was absolute “Beast”.

Genetic Freak! The German Tank! Insane what he has accomplished in this sport. As a german you always look up to that guy and his achievements. Where ever you go into a Gym a Picture of him can't be missing. Insane guy!

This man has a golden character, his jokes, always humble, always respectful of everyone, never even remotely arrogant, he can laugh at himself, his attitude, his demeanor, all these character traits, simply fantastic!
