dont have any sound or build in speaker. just a LED light indicator. to hear the recording u can copy the file to ur mobile or pc to playback and listen.

You can format the card first or try other brands of card. Best not to use more than 32gb cards

there is also a trick... you set it to record and then plug it into a power bank... it works all day for me

yes you need to format the SD Card before use. Use a windows pc to format it. It can support up to 32Gb Max Micro SD Card only. But i heard people using it with a 64Gb but i am not sure it can work or not. if still having same problem, the recorder is most likely defective. Get a replacement or refund from your seller. It's ok, When you start the recording, the recorder will generate a new text file.

the files that is in the card wont be deleated. The recordings will be in a seperate folder. You can use it like a thumdrive.

Yes can. As long as the charger you use it not more than 5v 2A. Higher than that the battery going to fry.
