This is such a great clip to show someone who has never watched Nichijou. Self, contained, has the typical Nichijou humour, has a nice twist, basically every ingredient to convince someone to watch the show.

Sad that the studio, literally got washed away, along with most of its crew as well... very tragic for a studio that made one of the most light-hearted, funniest slice-of-life anime with good voice acting... Who knows, maybe that's Nichijou getting to them? Normal day making another episode when suddenly they got hit by tsunami outta nowhere...

I know that Japanese people actually do Nagashi Somen. Likewise this scene, someone takes Somen(素麺), which means natural noodle, into running water. Then people enjoy catching them by chopsticks.
