The moment Hakase realized that Nano really wants to go to school and then starts crying, its so heartbreaking. Because she knows that she can’t keep her in the house forever. And that she loves Nano, and also wants her to be happy no matter what. these characters are just so cute

Hedgehog0zero Because she’s a kid who made a robot for a caretaker. When you really think about it, it’s sad how Hakase’s parents aren’t there. If Nichijou wasn’t a lighthearted action comedy, they could’ve made a sad backstory, like for example Hakase created Nano to be her new parent/parents.

I would watch an entire show just surrounding these three, ngl. You can tell that, through all their ups and downs, they’re still a family that loves each other so much. And it’s a nice subversion on the whole Frankenstein thing to see the “creation” actually being the responsible adult, and not actually being so helpless, while the genius inventor is more of the young child in the relationship. And despite probably passing all grades and COLLEGE at this point, she still acts like an eight year old. It’s genuinely so heartwarming ❤

@@shufflecat3334 apparently she stays at home all the time because she's doing some "important research". but (MANGA SPOILERS) in the timeskip we find out she does go to high school (she's about 15 in the timeskip), and her research has probably been a sucess considering she's being called for academic lectures and ms nakamura is studying under her lol

Professor asking Nano if she wanted to go to school during a moment where she depends on Nano, for me is one of the sweetest and bravest decisions and actions of hers... ..lol until she tried to take it all back when she found out that Nano won't be home almost everyday until around 5pm. I was very very happy for Nano when she started attending school.

On my first visit to Japan, I went to Aamori and stayed at a hotel where I was given a "traditional room" - tatami mats on the floor and a bedroll (is this called a futon?) to sleep on the floor. It was great! This scene always seems to me kind of cozy - Hakase is in the same room as her friend/protector and Sakamoto. it would be a lot worse if she was in a room by herself!

I love how subtle they are about how hakase peed herself at the end. They both look down at her pajamas then look to each other in a panic. Then the director cuts to a pipe overflowing and leaking with rainwater (get it? Cuz hakase's pajamas are "leaking" with pee)

I like how Hakase sees the key, which she herself said is only cosmetic and can remove, but even when scared of the storm won't remove it :-)

THIS SHOW, I WILL MISS IT. FFSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS THE VERY GOOD ANIME'S FUCKING GET BANKRUPT, while all the shitty ones still go on even with DUB. THIS SHOW WAS SO FKIN good, if only I had like $30m I'd give them like 1-2m just for them to continue this show!
