Nick Deactivates The Bomb | Rookie Blue

From Season 5 Episode 10 "Fragments": Andy's anxiety about her relationship with Sam comes to fruition when Duncan returns to active duty, hoping to reconcile. A car bomb explosion in a downtown parking garage is quickly followed by a second one at a busy local intersection. An eager Duncan goes rogue, only to come face-to-face with the car-bomber. Andy and Nick must get the situation under control and save Duncan before time runs out.

lucky there was only one cap, seasoned demolitions individual would have put a cap in each mass of explosive.

Those detonators shoot out the end of the capsule, so just making sure it's pointing away and not touching the explosives should be enough. That look like old mining detonators that can be activated with a 9 volt battery.

Because with a blast being that close to Duncan. I can't imagine his armor would have done much good.....

Y didn't he just remove the explosives since they were only held by electrical tape.then remove the detonator

IEDs can be mounted with Gyroscopic sensors and the like. Any change in angle can trigger the charge. Could also use magnetic or mechanical triggers connected to the vehicle
