BIOGRAPHY
"Red Light Lady" is written and arranged by film writer and director William Girdler.
Broadway actor and singer Nick Jolley was born on February 17, 1948 in Hindsboro, Illinois. His lone film acting role was playing the plaid jacket and checkered pant hero of Chris Duncan in William Girdler's low-budget horror movie "Asylum of Satan." Grinder would go on to make "The Manitou" -- his final film -- with Tony Curtis, but you know Girdler's work best for the Jaws rip -- with bears -- known as "Grizzly."
Jolley was an actor's actor. He could have easily made a living as a support and guest-starring actor in a wealth of '70s U.S television series, but the stage was his calling.
Amid his stage credits, he appeared in "Damn, Yankees" and worked as understudy and on-stage performer in the Broadway theater revivals of "Oklahoma!" and "The Pirates of Penzance," as well as acting and singing in many TV commercials and traveling dinner theater productions. You can hear him sing "The Farmer and The Cowman" on the "Oklahoma!" cast album issued by RCA Records.
He died at age 48 on February 6, 1997.
