I'm not even married or coming close to it, but I remember hearing this from a Kidz Bop album back when I wasn't allowed to hear any songs cussing and whatnot. But then I started doing some digging based on a conversation brought up on discord, and started looking up and listening to all the songs from Kidz Bop albums I listened to when I was younger but by the original artists. This had to have been one of the most memorable ones and my favorites from those albums.

Damn reading this brings tears to my eyes. I can relate to your experience too. Went through a divorce during this time too. And now happily married to a wonderful man for 12 years, he took what’s left of me and helped rebuild me to whole again.

How did you and your husband meet. It's tough out there for us guys, so I am genuinely curious. I have a Masters degree ( although a F ton of student debt ), live on my own in a 2 bedroom apartment, own car. I am built like Thor ( bench 310 lbs ) and I still struggle with online dating. I can get matches easy, but idk it's hard out there.

If anyone is curious about the backstory, Nick wrote this song soon after he finalized his divorce. And the woman you see in this music video, ends up being his future wife and they have children, and work closely together. Even in the toughest of breakups, he found love again and I hope he knows this song has probably seen others through theirs.

Love going back to this video after seeing how well he's doing with Vanessa. To think, this is where it all began. This is where they met and they are still together. It's like it was meant to be. His broken heart led him to a better woman.

Nick Lachey's What's Left of Me album has to be one of the best collection of love songs (or tragic love songs) ever. The dude was going through a divorce and he just went into the studio and literally SANG his heart out. What came out of his divorce are 12 kickass (tragic) love songs. By the end of the album, Nick wrapped it up with the song "Resolution," you can hear his vocals crying. What's Left of Me album, from the first track to the last track Nick painted this beautiful sad portrait of his sadness, is one of the greatest (tragic) love song album ever produced by human beings. Because it's 2022 and I'm still listening to it. This album just sticks.
