Win your conference. Get to a bowl game. #1 in that. Win that bowl game. #1 in that. Win the National Championship. By far, #1 in that. And that's if we ONLY count Bear Bryant's 5 APs. Stallings 1 AP. And Saban's 5 out right #1 vs #2 since 2009 are on an even more difficult level. That's 11 AP NCs right there. Notre Dame has 8. We were robbed just like you guys in 66. Bama was 2 time defending AP NCs. Go 11-0 and beat your team in the Sugar Bowl 34-7. And we get 3rd behind 9-0-1 Notre Dame and 9-0-1 Michigan State that just tied 10-10. Neither played in a bowl game and we are robbed of the in a row because of the civil rights footage that was being shown all over the country. We were punished for being all white. But to my point. jake hancock Not as much as I used to. If Saban does honor the contract he agreed to a week ago, and stays through 2025.? No. But we also will except Saban to keep doing his thing. 5 in 9. If he stays another 2 full classes, I say he retires with 7 or 8 NCs at Alabama alone. Not one player he has signed has left ( even his 3 year players) Bama without winning at least one National Championship. That's crazy man. 125 -18 over the past 10 seasons. I'd that was Alabama Softball's record it would drop your jaw. But football.! For 10 seasons. 6 NC games in 9 seasons. Win 5. Lose on last play if the only defeat. It is hard to beat Bama these days. And I'm happier with Saban staying, than I would be with Dabo coming. Know what I mean. If it's not broke , don't fix it. And Bama ain't broke.! But that's my honest opinion and answer at this time.

Re: a freshman QB playing vs the veteran. 2010, in what is shaping up to be worst Bama loss to Auburn the series history (24 to 0, then 27 to 28...way to go GOAT), McElroy drives the team down and Bama kicks a FG cutting score to 27 to 28. The next drive, McElroy gets knocked out of the game. In comes freshman AJ and proceeds to throw 4 incomplete passes and Bama turns it over. Find a time when McElroy threw 4 incomplete passes in a row as a senior. Of course having your senior Qb in the game matters.
