Saban in a man of principle, a coach that'll never let you down or throw a game or disrespect the other team, demand perfection, stand up for your guys, teaches you to learn from your mistakes, knows when to use "deez nuts" as jokes and throw his students off the lake. He is the all-time goat.

@Alex B he didnt march with BLM, he marched with his players for racial equality. Seeing as how 95% of the football players that come to Alabama are black, it seems he was being more inclusive, rather than choosing a radical side on the issue! Maybe try digging a little deeper into logic next time champ!

As a dawgs fan. I honestly cannot help but respect the man. After all. He single handedly made the SEC the best conference in college football. If it wasnt for him. The cam back, 2019 LSU team, the kick six, the Tim Tebow years, the emergence of johny football, and 2021 bulldogs wouldnt be as special as they are now. Gotta give the man credit. Because bama made all of us step up because it took so much to beat them to achieve greatness. Gotta give the man his flowers.

Bro this is the chillest thing a coach could do. So much tension and nerves in the first day of football practice. The biggest football coach breaks the ice and lets the team do something fun. Never had a coach who was chill and fun but it would of greatly impacted the team’s success in a positive way

As an Arkansas fan, I couldn't agree more -- Saban IS definitely the GOAT -- and we'll see y'all in about a month on Oct 16th! Then we go to Bryant-Denny November 20th, two days before my 36th birthday. I'd imagine that Auburn @ Arkansas will be considerably more competitive than either of our teams against 'Bama, but obviously hoping one of us gets 'em. Y'all probably got a better shot though since you'll be facing the Tide at Jordan-Hare. As of now it seems to be Arkansas, Auburn, and Texas A&M vying for the 2-spot in the SEC West, but the Hogs and Tigers have looked better than the Aggies thus far.

A good coach yells at you, but also attempts to bond with you. I had a coach like that in highschool and he’s still the best coach I’ve ever played for. He made sure you weren’t singled out unless you made an egregious mistake you need to fix immediately. He’d drill that into you, so next time you won’t let it happen again. He also was a kind man when he needed to be and tried hard to understand the struggles his players went through and went out of his way to help if at all possible. I miss coach Godwin:,)

Had a very similar experience like this with a teacher in high school. She didn’t treat me like “just another student”, she actually wanted to see me grow. I massively improved as a student from that point onwards. I couldn’t understand it at the time, but she could differentiate when I was or wasn’t putting my heart into it. Her firm words when I tried bullshitting my way through assignments taught me overtime that I can’t live my life half assed. She didn’t just help me improve academically, but also as a person. Few things in this world are as impactful as a great mentor.
