The bear paw knife is a knife I got for my mom in the early thousands! It had to be 2000 or 2001.I tried to engrave her name, Aleisha not Alaska, but being 8 or 9 years oldish, I wasn’t very good. This is incredible! It was in my dads old hunting backpack she tried to use as a carry on going to Colorado and she never checked the pockets. I can’t believe this, I remember it being claimed a few years ago and the story she told about it but what are the literal odds that ended up here. It was claimed by TSA in 2012, and its almost 20 years old now. I’m sending this to my mom and dad right away, what a small world. This video pops up in my recommendations for whatever reason, I watch it because why not, and I made it this far in the video to see it. My excitement can’t be shared by the rest of the viewers, BUT THIS IS LITERALLY UNREAL with the set of coincidences leading up to this.

I did, once. In a hunting bag coming back from deer season. It was a huge knife and it had slipped under a flap in the bottom of my bag. The lady freaked out when she saw it on xray and then it took her forever to find it. I'm sure it ended up on ebay somewhere

True story.....I was doing a bag check on a female passenger who forgot she had a knife. Pulled it out... received a wonderful story how it was a very expressive knife her boyfriend gave her for Christmas. She wasn't sure it could ever be replaced....me looking straight at her.....no offense but this is from home Depot, I think it was a black Friday deal. Your man probably got three of these for $10 or $20 bucks! ....she was pissed off. Told me to toss it and she stormed off.

Why would somebody buy tsa knives in bulk? You won't find rare or expensive knives because people go through them before bagging them. People who claim to find expensive knives probably toss in a knife they bought.

True story, I had a small gerber in my backpack I forgot about and the Toilet Seat Administration (TSA) found it so I gave it up, about a year later I was browsing eBay for used knives and came across the same model gerber being sold in a TSA lot from a guy in Atlanta (where I had to give it up) further inspection showed that it was my knife. I could tell due to some unique blemishes on the blade and scales, so I ended up buying my same knife back just for the story, since this was a cheap backup knife anyway.

The one with a ”fork" and the pattern on the handle that's all metal.... That is a divot repair tool for golf when you use a wedge or iron. The little patch of grass that flies up after the swing, it's considered good ediquite to replace the lil chunk where it's bald, and use the "fork" to reseat the plug so it'll take root again. 👍

Thing is, that if it is a good knife, you can mail it it yourself right there (at most airports). If it is a cheapo boxcuter, then the TSA can have it.

I don't mind crkt but they don't have many truly budget friendly knives. They have way to many 8cr knives that they want 50-60 dollars for. I prefer Kershaw because they seem to have more affordable blades though they have poor material knives that they want over 50 bucks for too just not as many imo. Cold steel is a good one though for price to material ratio. Nowadays I prefer Chinese brands because I can get way better materials for the price.

That little red "Dollica". Had a black one identical to it, used it for three months before the pivot spontaneously disassembled. Paid two bucks, got three months of very hard use. Wickedly sharp little thing, hadn't dulled perceptibly before it exploded on opening. No blade play before *kaboom* . There's a place for a tiny disposable keychain knife as long as it cuts really well and is so cheap you don't care if it breaks or gets lost.

There used to be a Swiss Army knife, pretty sure it was Victorinox, with eating utensils. My brother had one decades ago as a Boy Scout. I’d forgotten about it and haven’t seen one since but this reminded me.

The TSA once missed 27 12 gauge Remington shotgun shells in my bag. They caught it in the way back and we had a bit of a laugh about the outgoing TSA missing something so damn obvious in carry on!

Ive spent quite a bit on knives but carry a $7 sanrenmu 710.. really great little knife for the price and i won't really care if I lose it. I've had it in my pocket every day for a little over three years now. This pile seems like a fair representation of the knives I see non-enthusiests carrying though.

18:29 This knife design look interesting for me it look like they design to use on cutting board or plate but it too short to use if the blade is straight so they curve it up sorry if my english is bad

Byrd Meadowlark, reprofile the edge down to about 20-25 degrees or so and put a fine polished edge on it. That’d be a good cheap option.

I personally carry this one www.bladehq.com/item--Kershaw-Rexford-Amplitude-Frame--90617 daily and have been for at least 5 years now. It's easy to sharpen, holds an edge well enough (8cr13 steel so not the best not the worst) and has literally no play which is amazing for how long I've carried it, how much I've used it, and never tightened anything down myself. And at 20 bucks on blade hq it's a total steal. Can't recommend it enough....

I haven't watched a Nick Shabazz video in probably a year, sort of fell out of the knife/gear hobby, and on a whim thought "8lbs of knives from the TSA" seemed like it may be a bucket of giggles. I was right. My neighbor probably thinks I'm having some sort of psychiatric event. Completely broke at the retirement home knife. Well played Mr. Shabazz.
