This band absolutely destroyed at Sturgis. Props to the sound engineers of that concert. It's sad that they became so hated. They were a HUGE part of rock in their heyday, and no one can say any different.

I’m watching this four years later and this is one of my favorite fact or fiction. Chad is still a douchebag but all the other guys are just good down to earth dudes

Sometimes I feel like the entire internet is filled with 12 year olds. This definitely is one of these times.

I actually know Nickelback. I have a long history with them. I met 3 Doors Down when they were just starting out and touring with Creed. I then met Nickelback when they were touring with 3DD. I was really tight with their first drummer Ryan (Vick) Vickedal. When Chad did Hero for Spider-Man Soundtrack we were at the Breslin Center in Lansing and Chad looked at me and said, "Rich you're a huge Spider-Man fan aren't you?" I was and said "yes", Chad said "dude you gotta see the Video we shot for Hero and we went to the back of their tour bus and he played me the video with the footage from the movie. It was awesome. Nickelback took a lot of shit on tour during the State. Other bands would make fun of the songs, like Cowboy Hat and Breath. So I watched as Chad turned into a ridiculous song writer with hit after hit. I thought and argued that 3DD would be the bigger band and I was wrong. Nickelback is a great band and I have video footage of Chad dancing and mocking it up for the camera during a 3DD soundcheck in Detroit at Pine Knob. Let the haters hate, that's their job.

Not a huge fan of their music but they're one of the funniest bands out there and seem like great guys. Just forget the questionable lyrics at times

Lets be honest. They have some good songs. We liked them as kids especially if you liked the spiderman movie. I dont listen to them now but thats because my taste changes over time.

I was a fan of Nickelback since their stoner rock hit Leader of Man. It's a damn good song if you've never heard it. Good lyric story too. But I enjoyed Savin' Me, another great song, and the popular stuff like Photograph, Animals, and I forget what else. It's unfortunate for them that somehow they got randomly picked as the target of some internet meme, because it's not like there's anything outrageous about them that warrants the hate.
