Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 reviewed by Charlie Wacholz on PC. Also available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 finally lives up to its name, standing as an all-star platform fighter. Not only is it a fantastic sequel that takes criticisms of the first game to heart and sends them to the blast zone, it expands way beyond those adjustments. Decent (if samey) single-player options with a good amount of challenge, a training mode clearly made by people who know exactly how to construct a platform-fighting laboratory on a level rarely seen, and stellar rollback netplay bolster a supremely fun fighting system. The excellent new Slime mechanic then elevates it to a new level by introducing a huge amount of creativity to every character in its impressive roster without making it unapproachable for the party game audience. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 belongs among the greats of the platform fighting genre - and the moment I’m done writing this, I’m going back for more.

Are the campaing and arcade mode the same for each character? Or there are different interactions, endings, unlockables and stuff?

There’s arcade which works in a similar way for each character, but there’s a lot of character interactions in the actual story. When yku make it to the first hub and switch to Jenny and interact with her mom, they have dialogue and there’s stuff like that!

They already confirmed the game would be under development until finished sometime in 2024. Probably estimating around Spring or Summer the latest.

Well, when you only have 2 years to remake/make 25 characters from scratch on top of making a handful of bosses, a bunch of custom enemies, giant movesets larger than smash bros, cutscene supers for every character, balancing and developing around Slime EX special moves, cancels, bursts, etc, you don't have a lot of extra time available to make 11 more characters from the ground up too

Devs don't care about Lincoln and neither did pretty much any of the players of the first game; according to the devs on Discord, he was the single least-played character in NASB1. The only reason he's even a cameo in this game is because Nickelodeon mandated that he had to be in the game but didn't mandate that he had to be playable. Plus, apparently due to some leaked poll from Nickelodeon, Lucy's the runaway star sister in terms of popularity for the show (at least among the target audience of 6-to-11 year olds), way _way_ beyond anyone else, so they probably played their cards as they saw it fit.
