Edward Scissorhands (1990)
Edward Scissorhands is a 1990 American gothic romantic fantasy film[4] directed by Tim Burton. It was produced by Burton and Denise Di Novi, written by Caroline Thompson from a story by her and Burton, and starring Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Dianne Wiest, Anthony Michael Hall, Kathy Baker, Vincent Price, and Alan Arkin. It tells the story of an unfinished artificial humanoid who has scissor blades instead of hands that is taken in by a suburban family and falls in love with their teenage daughter.

The creator was going to give him hands but died before he could. If Kim went to visit him, the neighborhood would figure out he was still alive and try to hurt him again. When Edward said goodbye, he knew it was the only way to protect both of them.

I realized that when I watched my reaction haha. I think I missed the set up for the doctor lol And I can see that about Kim not being able to visit him to protect him.

This is one of my favorite movies ever and it holds a very special place in my heart for two reasons. I was 19 when this came out and it was the very first movie I went with a girl to see. The other reason this film is so dear to my heart was seeing the legendary Vincent Price as the Inventor in his final film role before he passed away. This movie always makes me feel a little sad and the Ice Dance scene always brings tears to my eyes. I wish that Kim and Edward, somehow, could have stayed together. This is a movie that will stay with me to my dying day.

This movie was marketed as a modern fairy tale from the imagination of Tim Burton. This film is every bit that statement. Amazing film

16:12 The poofy parts of the fancy/funny poodle cut are there because the poodle was originally bred as a "water dog." The fluffy hair was intended to insulate the joints, keeping them warm when the dog goes into water, and then the areas away from the joints were shaved because otherwise they'd get waterlogged and force the dog to carry unnecessary weight.

He didn't give him scissors for hands, the machine he used as a framework/adapted Edward from was a kitchen chopping bot (as seen in the first flashback where the Inventor gets the idea)

Your volume is fine, but the movie volume is kind of low. Thought I'd mention. I love this film and didn't entirely know what to expect when it came, but I was very enthusiastic about because my girlfriend at the time had a small role in it and I drove her to and from set because she didn't have a car or license yet and the scene she was in I was actually on set for in around the last hour of shooting one late night. But Kathy slept all the way home even though she loved the day's work.

Burton’s a master of mixing the dark with the sweet, with a big spoonful of tart social satire (also on display in “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure,” “Beetlejuice,” “Batman,” among others). As a Gen Xer, the Creator’s death hit me hard, being a longtime Vincent Price fan. At age 55, I still ugly-cry during that scene.

I’ll break it down for you - the biggest issue with a lot of reaction channels is that you’re at the mercy of what the reactor has already seen - with popcorn roulette, like chat roulette, reactors can pop in and out so that we can cover every movie and even react to the same movie multiple times! But to answer your question, we are all friends, uniting the collective blank spaces in our movie watching libraries to give fresh reactions to every awesome movie ever made! Nicki is just getting started! So many amazing movies she is going to close the loop on! 🎥 🍿 🎞️
