Paying friends in full (and on time) is such an honorable thing. Says 'I will not take advantage of our friendship, I respect your work and recognize you have bills to pay'. None of this precludes doing favors one for another, but it shouldn't be an expectation or burden. Thanks for sharing, loved this. Good memories too.

Spot on! When I’m producing I make sure all my guys are paid when they walk in the door. And try to overpay if I can. Anything you can do to make people excited when your name pops up on their phone is a win

very cool - good advice from everyone there. Practical life tips - hey, we should pay attention and put it in our daily routines. Probably first one is be nice to people, don't burn bridges - but it is soooooo tempting to snap back at stupid people that act rude to us. And pay good people well - that's cool, take care of those who keep you going, nice.

The first time I had songs I'd written recorded by Buddy Hyatt and crew at the Fun House, I was amazed at how fast it went. From charting to punches, overdubs etc. We did 10 songs that day minus final lead vocal and harmonies. Those were done at Rod Ingles apartment on Edmundson Pike!

Vety cool. I really liked it. The guy that was talkjng abiht reoationships. Was je the producer or the Engineer or? Very nice guy. That guy with the tele had a cool tele anr Im not a tele guy. They always sounded to bright and weak pickups sound for me. Maybe I meed to try one with Humbuckers. Great video sir.. ❤... I am not a pro or country player. I play for my own enjoyment and not toake momey really.. Too each his owm, and ome can never learn enough! Good stuff and thanks so much for sharing man... ❤.. I have a friend from my hometown that owms a music / guitar store in Nasgville. I cant relember the ne of it. His mother owmed a store here im my small towm where John Cougar Mellincamp is from. It was called Virginias and I think he kay call his store that in Nashville. He was tellkng me Tom Kiefer of the 80s blues rock band ( labled hair band by media ) Cimderella came in there from time to time and I think he said his son took lessons there. I was able to talk to the other guitarist that rwcently sadly passed from Cinderella about two uears before he passed. We joked about me seeing them on a DVD and he was pulling up on the floyd rose on his Kramer and the guitsr went widly out of tune and I laughed because the sound man, or his tech added some Chorus all at omce as if to trh to maybe make it sound better snd the look om his face when you could tell the guitar was really out of tune im the middle of the somg and he couldmt reallg do anytbing about it msde us both laugh. 😂Poor guy.. ❤ God speed man.. Be well and safe sir..

Reminds me of The Lovin' Spoonful's 1966 song Nashville Cats: Nashville Cats, play clean as country water Nashville Cats, play wild as mountain dew Nashville Cats, been playin' since they's babies Nashville Cats, get work before they're two Well, there's thirteen hundred and fifty two Guitar pickers in Nashville And they can pick more notes than the number of ants On a Tennessee anthill Yeah, there's thirteen hundred and fifty two Guitar cases in Nashville And any one that unpacks 'is guitar could play Twice as better than I will Yeah, I was just thirteen, you might say I was a Musical proverbial knee-high When I heard a couple new-sounding tunes on the tubes And they blasted me sky-high And the record man said every one is a Yellow Sun Record from Nashville And up North there ain't nobody buys them And I said, "But I will" And it was Nashville Cats, play clean as country water Nashville Cats, play wild as mountain dew Nashville Cats, been playin' since they's babies Nashville Cats, get work before they're two Well, there's sixteen thousand eight hundred 'n' twenty one Mothers from Nashville All their friends play music, and they ain't uptight If one of the kids will Because it's custom made for any mother's son To be a guitar picker in Nashville And I sure am glad I got a chance to say a word about The music and the mothers from Nashville Nashville Cats, play clean as country water Nashville Cats, play wild as mountain dew Nashville Cats, been playin' since they's babies Nashville Cats, get work before they're two Pick it

Do you make your own charts after listening to the demo just once? Or does the session lead already have the basic changes prepped?
@NickyV
@NickyV 2 ай бұрын
It changes session to session. Most of the time the session leader will make them ahead of time. If not then somebody will as we listen down in the control room then the assistant will make copies. Sometimes we just make our own on the fly.
