What an inspiration she is for all budding violinists

She is such an inspiration.

I’ve compared her tone and playing to so many other violinist and she is the absolute best. It’s wild.

I appreciate how "real" she is and down to earth. I saw Nicola perform in Hong Kong and she was gracious and an all-around wonderful performer.

I've just read thro' the comments below. I would say this. I've watched her progress since her win in the Young etc.. she has phenomenal technique.. a gift AND plain hard work. She comes across as thoroughly nice, grounded and.. a sweetie really. The fact that she IS beautiful.. is just a bonus. I hope that she gets back, in life, the joy that she gives us. WF

A couple of months ago I went to an LSO lunchtime concert at St. Luke's during a visit to London. Didn't know what was on, but just 10 pounds to get in. Nicola Benedetti was playing as part of a quintet. I'd never heard of her before. I sat in awe the whole concert. She's phenomenal. The others were terrific, too, but she's was obviously something out of this world. I feel so lucky I stumbled on that concert. Find out where she's playing near you.. and go - you won't regret it.

She just gets better and better.

Church, Westenra, and Jenkins are to singing what Vanessa Mae and Bond are to violinists. Not to discount their talents, but they are more of the pop stars of their area. Not so much with Nicola. She's more in the league of Mutter, Hahn, and Jansen. As for the level of attractiveness helping these artists garnering record deals, that's just really subjective. Maybe matter in poppy/classical crossover, but in the deeper classical music, like Billbo said, looks count for nothing.

AT, They're not all lovely.. and it counts for nothing. Church, was cute.. better at pop [IMO], Westenra is .. a lovely singer. Jenkins is NOT.. but she IS stunning and, for me, that's what sells her [when I hear that nasal..aaaaargh!. Switch off!] Many of the great operatic stars are NOT lovely.. too many to list in so few characters left. But the couple that won the Star thingy.. Joseph [long hair] ? he's the size of a house.. good voice tho'. WF

shes not that great cute though, that's the main thing i can buy a record by heifetz, but who wants to look at him?
