This is the 1st gen MGU And it already beats all of the systems by 400% 1-No maintanance required 2- No more bulshit chain problems, chain slap, streatch or snap!!! 3 No more weak smashed dissallined deraileours and poor shifting problems!!!! 4- No more worn out cassetes and chainrings!!! The MOUNTAIN BIKE SHOULD SPEND 99% RIDING ON THE MOUNTAINS NOT 99% LOKING AFTER IT!!! THIS IS THE FUTURE THIS IS MOUNTAIN BIKING AND IT'S CALLE PINION MGU!!!! IT IS ALSO MY NEXT NEW EMTB

Let Rob explain what happens when there is a Bosch motor and/or pinion transmission failure for this bike. How warranty works, how long warranty will be effective and what the related downtime is. This isn't like you taking your BMW motorcycle to the BMW dealer.

If it lasts as long as the other gearboxes from Pinion there should be no problems with longevity. It has an oil filling that is way better versus conventional motors that let water in through the gaskets.
@MarioGoatse7 күн бұрын
I’ll tell you what happens when there’s a Bosch motor failure. We take your bike, verify that it’s warranty. We drop the motor and work out what the issue is, and if it can’t be fixed, then we go into the system and apply to Bosch to have it replaced, stating what it issue is. They then send us a new motor, and we send the old one back. In less than a week it’s replaced with a new replacement, and ready for the customer. I have no experience with Pinion though.
@tombowman44897 күн бұрын
Yep I've heard lots of stories of excellent after sales service from Bosch. Had a little experience myself where I had to call them and found them to be great. Getting through to them was easy and the advice was sound. Don't think you can call anyone in relation to other brand motor on my other bike and I know they don't releas parts either. For this reason and the fact I can't afford pinion or that new DJI system my next bike will be a Bosch powered.

If the pro auto shift override is used too much the bike should alter the fixed cadence to a more suitable range for the rider , e.g. if you set cadence at 80 but are constantly down shifting it should set to 79 , then 78 and creep it until the rider mostly stops down shifting manually , an early up shift should alter it the other way , all averaged out over several mins of use . Gradient should also alter the cadence slightly IF you choose to have that happen . or the app should recommend your best cadence based on your actual demand .
@mikefize22797 күн бұрын
It does do that. If you override the auto.shift in the pro mode, it analyses the new cadence and adjusts to it. So no more fighting with automatic shifting like with other systems.

The amount of times overrun would be beneficial is very limited for the average user. But overrun is the nr. 1 reason for destroying chains and cassettes.
