In our opinion, Hikkaduwa is the best beach town in Sri Lanka. And that's saying something, because Sri Lanka has many incredible beach towns! When we think about the best beach towns in Sri Lanka, we think about the best accommodations, best restaurants, best night life, best beaches, and we want a town with lots to do! Hikkaduwa has all of these things, and the laid back vibe is the cherry on top.

Our dear friend and host at Banana Leaf, Amila, cooked us the most incredible Sri Lankan feast so we could share with you all what a home cooked Sri Lankan meal looks like! Sri Lankan food is some of our favourite in the whole world, and Amila's cooking is AMAZING! We are so spoiled to have the opportunity to eat Sri Lankan food with a local who has grown up cooking these incredible dishes.
