This is extremely brave. Owning one's own mistakes is much harder than we think. In the middle of the "cultists", there are also many people who now recognize facts but still prefer to go with "what about Sleepy Joe" or other excuses, rather than admitting that they were fooled and thought that Trump really cares about the country or about Republican values and so on

Yet they don’t know how to use their critical thinking skills to figure out that there is no truth to the story. Reminds me of the alleged anti war protest we had during the Viet Nam war. I was there and there was no protest. It was just brunch where everyone had no where to go because it was only a 15 minute break in the morning and it was a closed campus. The flag of solidarity was someone raised a par of boxer shorts up the flagpole in the quad. There were no speakers or anything related to an anti war protest. But it got sensationalized by the media.

Don't be so complacent. He has primed his supporters to believe that any election he loses is rigged and that all these legal actions are just to make him look bad so he loses the election. If he loses again (bear in mind Republicans are doing anything they can to suppress votes from Dem areas), he will encourage his supporters to rise up and try and overturn the government. I'm not saying he will be successful, but don't expect it to be peaceful.

The group of people that support any political cause are not all alike, they are a sliding scale. There will have been a large number of supporters who wouldn't care but there would also be many that did. Bear in mind that he did not win the popular vote. How many would he have needed to stay home for him to have lost enough states to lose the electoral college vote.
