It was my first DefiWind. The day before the event I rode the competition route and was glad I completed it. It will continue next year. I saw a lot at Defi, learned a lot and met a lot of nice “like-minded” windsurfers.

That’s the goal but it is a hard thing to get to from the central U.S.

@@antiope-d2885 I really wouldn't worry if I were you. The grass is always greener on the other side ! It's like piccadilly circus on the water and the great majority of them do it just to say they've done it. It's a massive get together so if you enjoy crowded waters and crowded beaches expensive beer and over priced fast food, then it's a place for you.

Defi wind is definitely on my bucket list. Thanks for the 2024 update. Too bad there was no official race. Great to see the entire community enjoying themselves on the water.

Gibts eine einfache Erklärung warum (viele) Windsurfer keine Helm oder Prallschutzweste tragen. Kenne keinen Winger der ohne Helm fährt.

On the short runs I felt like I might have an edge. Didn’t have the best start and was catching up a bit over first 1-2km. Over the whole distance he was faster indeed.
