It can affect all dogs. Some dogs are more vocal and react to it more. Notice Ayla doesn't care. When my ex and I were still together, she had a Brittany spaniel/beagle mix, and we lived in this apartment complex that allowed dogs. It had one smoke detector in the apartment, and when that would go off, Rosie would lower her head and start whining.

CO detection is not needed in this building as there is no gas or CO producing equipment

Considering it has been installed for 3 to 4 months with no problems during times the old alarms would've caused problems it's pretty good

Yes you can you can have pre-alarm as well not sure if either of those requires verifier tools or not

They are not smoke alarms but smoke detectors for a commercial system they are photoelectric FSP 951s

It works perfectly fine and is still new just needs to be used when cooking when there's smoke, accidents happen

We only want to use dust covers when you are doing work that would likely set off detectors you don't want to have them there regularly that will defeat the purpose of having detectors

True that. Especially if you forget to remove the dust covers. You can do like what do, put the system into a silent walk test when you are cooking. It will cause a system trouble which acts like a reminder to take it out of walk test. Every time I cook and there is a lot of smoke, like at Thanksgiving and Christmas, my adoptive family is over cooking (I was adopted by the way), I put my fire alarm system in silent walk test. Then, return the system to normal when cooking is done. But, I don't really have much of a problem with false alarms with my fire alarm system.

Yeah exactly that's why I got rid of the ionization they went off all the time from the smallest amount of smoke and then when we actually had a fire nothing went off lol

@@nics-systems-electric bottom line, only use ionization detectors in very certain areas and keep them away from the kitchen for goodness sake! We only have 2 photoelectric detectors in our home. And now I kinda regret it... Especially since the one in our family room (which is ionization) goes off when we light the fireplace... Lol

@@zachzebra56 at least they are easy to switch out. I am stuck with photo electric now as for the commercial style system they stopped producing the ionization ones years back now.

No, low frequency sounders are for sleeping areas therefore not outside. you would use a regular device outside and you would need a weatherproof one. they do not sell weatherproof low frequency sounders

Of course there is a range hood it just needs to be used when there is a smoke being produced

It could be a project to have a smoke detector trip a delay in the hood before it would make it to the main fire detection smoke detectors. But it wouldn't be easy and probably not worth it

The range hood is just fine not everything needs replacing sometimes humans can be the cause of problems you just have to use equipment properly accidents happen

@@nics-systems-electric never said human error was not a possibility. There is a chance something did burn, but nothing looked burnt in the vid as far as I could see which is why I suggested a smoke evacuation upgrade of some sort because despite nothing looking burnt, the whole house was smoked out which revealed to me the potential for an underpowered smoke evacuation system which couldn’t keep up with the amount of smoke coming from the cooking. I’ve had some of those “Hello Fresh” meals and despite cooking them perfectly, it would smoke up my place as our evacuation system just couldn’t keep up. I’m honestly surprised our smoke alarms didnt activate with even that fact there was one outside the kitchen, and that was some good smoke as well; you could smell it all over the place. Just trying to come up with a 200IQ solution to see if the accident can be prevented next time.

@@achannelwithnopurpose1977 can't speak for those HelloFresh meals as I've never used them however it was likely grease that caused the smoke when the range hood was not on a high enough setting

@@nics-systems-electric that definitely sounds like a great possibility, and prob may be what happened. There’s many reasons why a smoke hood may not be effective from user error to even clogged hood filters and even capacity issues.

@@achannelwithnopurpose1977 ours has 4 different speeds probably 70% of the time the lowest setting is enough and then sometimes 2 is used but rarely 3 or 4 at least for me but I don't do a ton of cooking where there is much smoke the higher speed get pretty noisy anyways
