After trying this for a while and failed, I finally figure out why I failed and also see why the other viewers have difficulties doing this.First, you will need to understand several rules: Rule #1, you can only jump twice in the air until you touch the ground again. Rule #2, if you walk into the air without jumping, a once "quick air walk attack" will be done automatically, then you can perform a set of light attack combo and also a pod kick, in any order before your first jump. The times of stroke in the light attack combo depends on your weapon. Rule #3, the upward attack can only be done immediately after your first jump. It does not work after the second jump. Rule #4, the pod swing (Jump + RB) can only be done after your first or second jump. But since you need to perform upward attack after your first jump, so it must be located after your second jump if you want to make this long jump. Rule #5, after each of your two jumps, you can perform a set of light attack combo and also a pod kick, in any order.The times of stroke in the light attack combo depends on your weapon. Rule #6, if you dash in the air, you can follow by one pod kick or grab the pod and slide. Either way it is a "Finisher". That's why the actions in the video are arranged this way: 1. Press jump and hold (2B will jump vertical once but do not let go the Jump button, hold it) 2. Press Light Attack and hold, while at the same time walk off the edge (2B will perform a sort of "Quick Air Walk Attack") 3. Start press light attack up to the max number allowed for your light weapon, while all the way holding the Jump button (2B will perform the first set of Light Attack combo) 4. Press and Hold Light Attack, still have the Jump button Holding (2B will perform the first Pod Kick) 5. You can now release the Jump button the first time 6. Press and Hold Jump and immediately press Heavy Attack (2B will perform the first Jump and Upward Attack) 7. Start press Light Attack up to the max number allowed for your light weapon, while all the way holding the Jump button (2B will perform the second set of Light Attack combo) 8. Press and Hold Light Attack, still have the Jump button Holding (2B will perform the second Pod Kick) 9. You can now release the jump button the second time 10. Press Jump (2B will perform the second Jump) 11. Press Jump and RB simultaneously (2B will perform a Pod Swing) 12. Start press Light Attack up to the max number allowed for your light weapon, but this time no need to hold the Jump button (2B will perform the third set of Light Attack combo) 13. Press Jump and Light Attack together (2B will perform the third Pod Kick) 14. Dash 15. Either Press Jump and Light Attack together (2B will perform the fourth Pod Kick), or Press and Hold Jump to grab the Pod and slide as a finisher. It depends on if you need to the Pod Kick to cover a little more distance, or your finishing place is high and you need to float to landing. Note that the reason that from step 1 to 4, you must hold the Jump button is, if you don't hold the jump button, when you try to perform the first Pod Kick and hit Jump button, it counts as your first jump. Similarly, from step 6 to 8, if you don't hold the jump button, when you try to perform the second Pod Kick and hit Jump button, it counts as your second jump. But from step 9 onward, you do not need to hold the Jump button (except for the final sliding if you choose it as a finisher)because you have already used both your jumps. So you don't need to worry about "wasting jumps" when you press the Jump button again. As a side note, the reason I failed before is that I try to practice by jumping into the air as my starting step. This will not work as the Upward Attack can only be done after the first jump. At first, I thought I did not get the timing right, but it is actually I have already used my first jump when I try to do the Upward Attack.Once you understand the rules, it is quite straight forward. Hope this help to solve the puzzle.

So let me get this straight you hold A the whole time that you're holding X and then tapping X until you get back to holding A on the second line? So basically you start off by holding A and going through your jumps. Then you're standing there still holding A and then you hold X , while still holding A and you go through your hold X attack. Then right after you're done with the last move of the" hold X attack" you tap X for the "tap X attack. ". No at this point you let go of A and press and hold A again ? It's great that you write down the button steps to do this jump but I think you need to also break it down into the visual cues of when the moves need to happen sort of like how I just did in my description. The toughest part of this jump is that heavy attack / jump combo that you need to do. People need to practice just that because not ending up doing the heavy attack is the trick. I have no idea how you hit it so consistently. The jump / heavy attack always gets me the heavy attack no matter if I hit them at the same time or roll one into the other with my thumb.

This is pretty cool. However, there are no areas in the game where this is necessary to reach secrets. Every secret has bridges or reasonably simple jump gaps to reach them.

All I wanted to know was what I now know is called a "pod swing". I learned how to fucking bend the universe. Thanks to the creator of the video, and the pinned comment. Both helped immensely. 😆💙

How are you getting her to reset her jump mid air?

I can't get the "y" part to work. As soon as I hit Y I do her attack and it stops the jump
