It's funny how easy this quest would be if your opponent wasn't a cheating sack of shit and stuck to the road instead of flying straight to the finish. It's as if you're playing mario kart and this guy stays on the grass the entire race, takes all the shortcuts and still wins

Everyone keeps talking about how hard the third one is and I literally can't for the life of me beat the second. I don't even get realistically close.

Among the other robots who were not a threat, this guy's the only one I really tried to kill off but I can't.

Just equip the max amount of speed chips and use A110: Slow on him at the start of the race. It will slow him down for about 3 or 4 seconds making this race MUCH easier

I have to take a break from this. I nearly snapped my headset in half. How ridiculous is it that I defeated the most difficult enemies in the game (lvl 99 bosses) 20 levels higher than me first try both times but I can't clear this goddamn racing bullshit?

No 3rd person action rpg can be complete without platforming puzzles and races. Seriously, who think up adding these challanges to narrative driven games?

I did it with ease with two Moving speed chips (normal and +1), jump off then press the L3 and R3 for you to self destruct so you fall down way faster n just run to the finish line as shown in the video... I beat the robot by at least 2-3 secs to the finish

WORST QUEST IN THE WHOLE GAME FUCKING EASILY

I did this race by equipping wire on my pod, charge to level 3, then hook directly at the flag guy. you just need to aim really good though.

Thank you for the vid! for the stage 3 race, I had to use 3 speed chips (2 lvl 2 and one lvl 1) and a speed salve lvl 1 . Whoever designed this sidequest was really evil.

That god damn part where you have to jump on the root and then onto the building is the fcking hardest thing ever.

I actually did this pretty easily by having 9S hack a linked-sphere type (the floating snake like robot) and racing to the finish. The fact that it can clear gaps so easily and moves pretty fast got me through all three races without much trouble.

Man, this quest was so frustrating that by the time I kept failing the 3rd race I wanted the high speed machine to blow himself up. Then I beat the quest and he blew up. I felt bad. 8(

SOMETHING SUPER IMPORTANT TO KNOW IF UR CHARACTER ROLL AT LEAST ONE TIME YOU CANT WIN ALSO SPEED SALVE DOESNT STACK WITH 20% CHIP SPEED SO USE 1 OPTION

For those still having trouble with the speed plugin in chips, try using a speed slave item along with the plugin chips and you will go way faster making it much easier

I see what's going on with that third race. The initial jump is important but the stretch of land immediately following is bumpy enough to trip on, and if you trip you lose. Like, that's it. You navigate that first few seconds without tripping and do the rest flawlessly and confidently (Second guess a single movement? That's a loss.) and you can win by the skin of your teeth. Well, that and having maxed out speed obviously.

I had a load map glitch on the 3rd phase that caused me to drop off the tower. He was above me giving his speech so I ran my fucking ass off to the finish line. It's a glitch because you're not suppose to be able to move while he show shows you the destination No regrets

How to pass this mission 1. Equip yourself to a maximum of 20 percent of extra moving speed 2. Equip yourself with 40 - 80 percent of extra evade for more boost 3. Have speed salve (30 sec) in your inventory 4. Equip your Pod with "slow" Before you jump of the building, press L1 for slow,... jump off the building, use speed salve and run towards the finish on this same route. I garantee you you will pass it if you do it like this. Trust me... this fucking mission took me forever. With this strategy i got it first try.

Use pod slow program as soon as you start. This will give you some extra time, because i just couldn't do the jump from the tree properly

I found out a way to clear it by using a bug: when you lose first time, you start a coversation with him (at first he just says that you are able to it, ignore utterly it, what really matters is the second one), at the second dialogue, you can move yourself and then do it, go away as far as you can from him and when it shows loading map you will fall from the construction which you are on and you can move freely while he is giving his speech.

It may have been patched since the time this video was published, but I just simply put speed chips until it said "it will be superior to the 20% cap" and raced. Sure, second time is hard as bricks, but there is a little trick: r2. Dash when you are in the air when you are going up the root to shave some seconds. Keep running straight to the corroded water tower things, double jump, dash, jump dash, double jump and DONT GRAB THE LEDGE! Third one easy as pie. Just plummet to the ground and run.

For people who can't do this... You can use your pod to slow the robot later in the game. :)

You move faster if you spam R2 all the time. Because starting animation of a dash propels you forward a lot

The easiest way to win the third race is to use the pod program Wire to wire yourself to one of the enemies on the way. It saves a lot of time and I won by at least one second doing it.

Flag Guy was a really good friend to Speed Star. He must have been with him from the start of his speeding career then died with him, likely in utter confusion.

i cant even comprehend how much air youre getting on the jump on top of that rusty thing in race 2 i cant stop grabbing it and losing all momentum

I can now confirm this is the only frustrating thing about this game so far. I beat the first one, and that’s it. I’m actually ashamed of myself. Sure, this was designed poorly, but I’ve been at this thing for damn near 30 minutes and can’t even get past stage TWO. I’m not sure if I’ll be back to this any time soon.

If you use speed salves this becomes a lot easier (obv. 20% movement speed from chips is required)

For those saying you can't use slow on the 3rd race, yes you can. Right at the beginning just hot slow then drop down and start running the route.

My game literally glitched and i was able to move freely while he was stuck giving instructions, i decided to give him a taste of his own medicine and get a huge headstart on the last race

best thing to do is hold direction and keep pressing evade when the map is loading, you get to glitch through the preparation stage and start running right away.

if you hold L1 you will run faster and tap a couple times R2 for a boost and jump

or you could add Overclock to your chips and slow down time on the third run lol

Game devs must have a code where they insert the most stupid, out of place side quest in their games.

F**K, I spent at least an hour on the last one.. every time he just a tab bit touching the finishing line... and I already 20% max movement speed... The key point, just don't trip over, or all the speed build up is gone...

Did just all of them with 2B, only 12% movement chips, no speed salve. First one is easy, second one was tricky. I went straight, but instead jumping off the building i jumped to the other one, up the roots, around the tree on its right side and then straight to the goal. With a little training on when to jump etc it was ok. Third one really is hard, but i did it exactly like you. Of course it still took a lot of tries, tweaking the route here and there to not stumble to keep maximum speed etc. All in all, pretty cool and lots of fun 😊 "What was up with that guy anyway?" 😂

Haha on the third one I fell off building at start for some reason, which allowed me to get a 5 second head start. Love this game.

For the 3rd race you can just use 2nd weapon down attack to get to the bottom faster. Flying down with the use of pod was taking too much time. F that quest for real. Unfair shit but I guess that's the part of it.

This questline is like the most difficult thing the game can offer to you ...... I wish I could use my swords to chop that blue flying cheating asshole into pieces........ give me that flying device as well so we can both fly straight ...... he probably never heard about fair play..... letting you walk around do parcour while he is flying straight

Speed salve during the initial fall for race 3 saved me and my controller.

Man this had me so frustrated but then i just made a new chipset with all movement speed buffs, BOOM makes it so much easier.

My god, I cannot beat the second. I find myself jumping all over the show and smacking into walls like an utter plonker!

I can't do the third race. Literally, there's no way to start it. I've gone to the 3 points where this guy is to no avail and the map doesn't show any marker (even though it's still on my Active Quests). Have I screwed myself? Is there any way to make him appear again?

How do you time you jump for 3rd stage? How long between first and 2nd jump?

Hitting r2 every 2 seconds while on straights seemed to help me a considerable amount. Found myself getting ahead much easier

"Don't let your char grab the building" Easier said than done... I've been at it for two hours and I can't get that to work right. My muscle memory is too ingrained and it seems like whenever I try to not do that I miss the the thing I'm aiming for completely. :/ This is so unfair, and there's no way around it either. You have to get it perfect and it's like there's no room for error. I hate this. My clumsy meat hooks are letting me down big time. Even when I know what to do, I just can't physically do it.

imagine this you just finished 3rd race and won then suddenly your bro shut your pc by pressing the power button, and you just remembered that you didnt save from the first race :)

finally did stage 2 which is a pain using a keypad -_- (double pushing a thumbstick to do a forward dodge is just nasty). Ran to the right over the roof and stopped before jumping over the gap to the final building and just shot the flag waver with the a090 wire.

i seriously do not understand people bitching about this quest , when i failed, just poured everything into a speed chip and got 1 speed potion , bam ezi pezi .

On the second race use pods slow the s found the race starts. It gives you enough of a gap to get to the end before him

HARDCORE PARKOUR

Managed to beat it today. Move Speed +1 chip and the support item for a 30s boost after landing. It was a very close call. The only good thing out of this quest (aside form the reward) is watching the asshole blow himself up. He deserved to die!

Simplest way is just to remote control the long long machine! Easiest way to win 😂 just fly through all!

Oh so even when you win the third one it's by like half a second, damn.

stage 3: I somehow managed to fall from the building and was able to run before the start lol. prolly the bug is replicable but cant redo the quest

Until the game bugged and I could move earlier while the robot was talking, I couldn't complete this stupid mission

u run it so easy bcoz u have all the speed upgrade chip in ur skills. just advise what level is the most suitable level to do this quest wll b a better guide . otherwise every1 can do this if they only needed high level and upgrades on the character

the important things to do in the 3rd race is how you jump at the start and not jumping when you are on the ground, jumping makes it longer for you to achieve the fastest sprint speed and lastly not breaking the sprint when you jump at the waterfall also sprinting at the right side makes you reach earlier and after reaching the goal it took a second or two for the machine to reach the goal it takes a lot of trial and error to finish but i promise it feels so good after you complete it

Not only do you need 20% of Moving Speed Up, I suggest buying Evade Range Up +3 from Emil. Remember to HOLD the evade button for the full extent of the increased range (don't just tap it.) On Race #3, falling off that building the right way saves a split second. Float with your bot as little as possible. Also, to give you some motivation, Speed Star commits seppuku when you finally beat him.

For most the time, I felt just to whack that fellow directly and kill the quest =________=

tfw i had a hard fall, but still managed to beat the last race with a second to spare but my previous runs were arguably perfect ._.

Just equip movement speed chips until you reach the speedcap. Then this quest should be a lot easier.
