The Kaine moment with NieR is nice, but I really like the humanity both Kaine and NieR show towards Emil's disfigured form, which he himself has shame for. It's a good message for our world that is obsessed with looks to our own detriment. Accept those who are not as fortunate in the looks department, they could be exceptional people. Emil's practically shocked he was recognized, it's very sweet.

It really is one of my most favorite moments in the whole game. Two people who hated their bodies but teach each other to love themselves for who they are because their flaws make them unique.

For anybody who thinks that Kaine is looking at Nier like that just because she's shocked that she's been gone for 5 years...4:33-4:35 is the look she has on her face when she is indeed shocked that she's been gone for 5 years. Now, 4:40-4:43? Come on, people. THAT is her actually getting her first good look at adult Nier. THAT look, lmao...THAT is different. And if the game developers didn't mean to portray Kaine as being taken by Nier's new look, then they made an absolutely terrible cinematographic decision with that shot from 4:36-4:40. That's nothing but four whole seconds of looking at Nier's smiling face, and it's shot from Kaine's eye level (though not necessarily from her perspective). That shot isn't taken for the player's sake; we already know what adult Nier looks like. That shot totally suggests that Kaine is just...staring at NieR. Look, it's a hard sell if you're trying to tell me that she's just staaaaaring at NieR because she's shocked that it's been 5 years. She seems to be a little distracted by something else if you ask me. Also, speaking of the eye-level shot, let's not forget how much of an impact height has in women's attraction to men. Standing up next to Nier definitely helped Kaine realize that our little baby boy Nier has grown into a man, and I think she likes what she sees. :P

That scene was really great the first time. And the second time. And then came the third time... And the fourth time. Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but someone should have intervened at some point with the amount of repetition. It takes away from the scenes after a while.

@@AxisKoi I mean, if it's voluntarily, I don't have anything against repitition. I played games more than once often. But if you put different endings behind everything, it makes it a bit more of a chore. Also, I hate that in my first playthrough I was never able to get 100% sidequests, because I didn't do two before the time skip. So even though, I basically had to play the game so often, I was still missing those.

I mean if you're not dumb you only should have to replay this scene twice. So 3 times in total unless you don't make a save point before the final dungeon.

@@grunermrk So what if I thought that it might be important to get all endings because I didn't look up which endings exist? Also, you have to see it at least three times, because you can't finish the game in the B-story. I had all weapons already and I still had to start the third run.
