12 Volt battery not charging. Battery regulator fault.
Battery regulator wire colours :
Black - Negative
Red - Power supply 24V
Pink - Output to 12 V battery
Yellow - Green button input to trigger charging.
Yellow - Engine switch input to trigger charging.

also the 12v battery is only 2yrs old but strugles to swing engine over unless i use the decompressor

Hi, I have an hr 12 and I can operate from the cage using the engine, but the battery side will not work. When pressing the power button, the motor does not get any power to energize. Do you have any ideas.

Hi Peter how old is your HR12? I know on older models it use to be two diodes in the cage controls. If one diode goes bad then you would loose operations on engine or on electrics it depends on witch diodes has gone. If you were to measure voltage on 22 at base pcb you should see around 12V when cage selector set diesel power as well as if selector set electric power .

hi i have just bought a trailer mounted 170..i have pluged in charger for 2 days and cant get it to go on battery side ..i can hear solenoid kick in but no life at all from motor..its a 2000 modle and im geussing it still has original batteries but not sure,,,any ideas would be much appriceated.cheers don

Hi 👋 if you can hear relays/ solenoids clicking then its you could assume that your control circuit is working fine. Are you getting 24v directly to dc motor when you try to operate?

@@RTFIX hi thanks.i can check that on Saturday...I've realised the charge red light never goes of red..should the charger humm if its working ?
