OxfordUnion There’s a country that wants to weaken Europe and Britain by dividing them. If Britain leaves that will be wonderful for its enemies. Considering the amount of intelligence in Oxford the votes have to be massively in favor of staying in the EU. Though I doubt that’ll happen.

Talal My comment is about Brexit. I don’t care about the man in the video and If i was “dimwitted” as you said I would’ve concerned myself with people’s drama rather than ideologies and politics. You should be quiet if you don’t understand something boy. Let me be blunt so you can understand: The United States doesn’t want Europe to contend with its influence on the world. Europe can be better controlled if it is divided. If you want to know who’s behind it look at who’s benefiting from the weakening of Europe. The major powers. Out of all the major powers the only one which has the influence powerful enough to morph European politics is the U.S. I didn’t elaborate on my statement in my original comment cuz I assumed a smart person would be reading it. I stand correct on that regard.

Your Instinct might be correct..... Here is the kicker..... We do not and did not need a Withdrawal Agreement Treaty. All of the EU Laws were ported into Domestic UK Law in one swoop. Ask David Davis the former Brexit Minister. So why is Theresa May arguing that we need another WA Deal for ''an 'Orderly Brexit'' when firstly it is not a Deal bur a WA Treaty and secondly having already the EU Laws on the Statute books makes a disorderly withdrawal quite remote a possibility? The High Court assessment have already concluded the the European Communities Act 1972 is a conduit like a pipe to which EU Laws flow into UK Domestic Law. Meaning that repealing the 1972 ECA is like SWITCHING OFF the tap. So why would Theresa May use a unnecessary process of Article 50 to create another tap via another Treaty and deceive us by calling it a deal? But it gets worst. Unlike the other tap 1972 ECA Theresa May has conspire with the EU to create an Article 50 tap that once turn on it can never be turn off. Nigel is right it is not Brexit or Brino it is extremely far worst. We do not need Article 50 we never did. we are giving the EU another Tap. Only this time to enslave us. Theresa May is not honouring the Referendum, not giving us Brexit, not pursuing an orderly Brexit, not delivering a Deal. She is a liar and a whole lot more..... But you already know that she is not delivering. I am just giving you a perspective as to how that is.

@@marksavage1108 It is called the Common External Tariff Policy. It is more complex than you make it out to be. It goes back to the 50s and 60s when countries had rapidly growing economies. This brought its own problems and in particular for Britain which had a balance of payments crisis caused by rising price levels and where we were able to import goods cheaper than we could manufacture them. The then EEC, now EU, members solved this problems for them by introducing the Common External Tariff Policy. where they could raise the prices of imports and stem their balance of payments problems. We, Britain, joined the EU in 1973 because we couldn't balance the books every quarter.Yes, it easy to get carried away by Farage but he is a Self Serving Charlatan.. Ask yourself what ordinary people have gained by Brexit and what problems has it caused us? Ask yourself what EU Laws, agreed and ratified by Britain has been detrimental to ORDINARY people?. Farage is dangerous to Britain and one who doesn't care what he does or says to line his pockets. Ask Farage what happened to the£10 million donated to the Brexit Party when he was leader. The money was donated by Chris Harborne who became a Thai Citizen, Chakrit Sakunkrit for tax purposes. Harborne is now a big donor to the Conservative Party.

True but what quitters don't seem to realise is that the political elites (millionaire financiers like JRM, Banks, and Farage etc.) want to quit the EU so they can reduce workers rights and avoid taxes while people who are genuinely concerned about the rights and well-being of working people recognises that it is the EU that protects them not Westminster. For years UK politicians of all stripes have blamed the EU for our ills to avoid awkward questions about how the UK shafts it's people and unfortunately this has led to miss-perceived bias against the EU. The 'victory' of leaving the EU, for working and middle class people who support leave, will be a Pyrrhic one but perhaps from the ashes a phoenix will rise; our realisation that it was not the EU destroying social mobility and attempts to make a fairer society but Westminster and then this realisation will consign the prospect of future Tory governments to the dustbin. Every cloud....

@@peterjack4922 we have an average of 200,000 EU Nationals in every year, but whenever a geniune question of this came up for 20 years they were called racist. This whole situation could have been avoided, if we had some tough conversations that we still aren't having. And once people realise that we haven't changed anything, it's only gonna worse. I predict. Clearly being in the club is cool, but we can trade with them as an outside country plus trade with anyone else. Have you seen what has been happening throughout parts of Europe? With anti EU parties doing well. Or am I just imagining that. But the real question is whether we can sustain an average of 400,000 people into this country? Obviously some don't stay but you get my point. People feel their culture is under threat, rightly or wrongly. O yeah, do you know Ursula von der leyen? @Arnaud No deal is not possible. You need a deal.
@IIAndersII
@IIAndersII 5 жыл бұрын
@Arnaud Just some points are 1- EU UK citizenship in the EU and UK respectively. 2 - agreements on airspace travel 3 - the Irish border of course. Even if there will be 'No deal' there have to be some agreements. And you shouldn't think too much about what was said before the referendum. Everyone was basically lying. Moreover people made a black/white decision on a grey scale problem. This is exactly why Parlament can't get to a majority on any deal. Everyone wants something else.
@IIAndersII
@IIAndersII 5 жыл бұрын
@Arnaud 1 - doesn't matter there is still a problem of UK people living across the EU without a visa and vice versa. This is a problem that has to be addressed. 2 - yes so you are telling me that planes will have to stop flying until an agreement is reached? And that agreement wouldn't you call that part of a deal? And yes planes fly outside of the EU WITH AGREEMENTS. The UK and EU don't have any specific agreements since they never needed one. 3- I don't understand what you are saying. It can be treated separately? WTO requires a physical border through Ireland if no deal happens. This is not feasible. It would violate the good Friday agreement and start up the whole Irish conflict again. Hence an agreement is necessary. You are saying that voting against a no deal is in violation with the referendum? Let me give you some violations and legislations. The referendum is not binding for Parlament, hence the Parlament can pretty much do anything they want. Would it be popular? No. But they have the right to do so. The referendum campaigns were overusing their budgets which is illegal and should cancel the validity of the referendum itself. Moreover you voted to leave the EU. Nothing more. Nothing less. How you are going to leave the EU is totally up to parliament. Basically leaving "in name only" is leaving the EU. Exactly what you voted for. You left the EU. It might not be what you want but hey that's democracy for you. The government of compromises. And please keep your conspiracy theories for yourself - if the Parlament realy wanted to stay in the EU they would have used all their opportunities to stop brexit. Voting for second referendum, agreeing on soft brexit etc. However they simply don't agree on anything. That's the whole problem with brexit, everyone has their own imagination on how brexit should have been done.

The mistake many understandably make is thinking the EU is about economics, partnership and the advancement of mankind. Unfortunately the truth is it's about empire building, anti-americanism and the destruction of democracy. The EU wasn't created for the benefit of Europeans, it was created in spite of them. It exists to advance itself not the people it purports to serve. People are its excuse not its purpose, it's purpose is itself.

The vote to leave was to totally leave. A so called 'no deal' WTO rules Brexit is, by a huge distance, the best deal for Britain. People who support a real Brexit need to stop voting both Conservative AND Labour (certainly unless your own MP is one of about 60-70 Conservative and a small handful of Labour MP's who strongly support Brexit). Also UKIP and For Britain need, at least, a electoral pact to avoid wasted efforts and, above all, wasted votes.
