What an absolute stitch up! Nigel is no joke act which is what this theme is fit for. He was battered by Shirley last week for absolutely no reason and now he's been done dirty again! Hope people voted because he has so much potential and is winner material.

What's the tail gate dance move that the judges are talking about? Can't seem to find any youtube video thay demonstrates what it is. Can anyone put a time stamp on it

The rehearsal footage looked so much better, there was clean retraction and bounce. Then they stuck this costume on him and these clunky boots and I genuinely feel his technique suffered as a result of being unable to flex his ankle as he would in dance shoes. There was a bit of a mistake from 00:32 that I think threw him off as well, although they recovered well. The song was a challenge at best to do a good Jive to, there are so many better movies and soundtracks out there - not his best week but I'm sure they'll do a lot better next week!

I liked it 🙃 it was fun! Not nigel's best dance, but not a bad dance. The cape needed to go. But it was a good effort at a hard dance. Nigel set the bar very high for himself on week one, so now we are all expecting the same level throughout. But nobody's perfect, and he's new to ballroom and latin, so i think a good effort at a hard dance. Well done nigel and katya. Looking forward to next week's routine minus the cape!!

So well executed, a fab mash-up of a jive done in the style of the old TV series . They looked so cool and yet were so criticised and undermarked. But I've got used to Nigel and Katya coming in for OTT criticism from the judges now, I expect it. Nevermind, I just vote for them all the more. Sometimes I wonder if this isn't the judges' intention all along!

The outfits were camp and great. Nigel should have dressed as Eartha Kitt's Catwoman just for a giggle!

Not a jive music . Nigel kicks looked sharper in the the studio rehearsal but tonight he was wearing boots and it looked stompy . For a dancing show, they seem to care about the costumes and themes more than the dancing to the point of hindering the dance itself. He did some hard steps though especially by the end .

First up is Nigel Harman and Katya Jones dancing the jive to Batman. It was all very Gorge Clooney than the dark night, no kicks and flicks but Nigel did give the jive a good old go and I am sure he will do better next.

I've seen an interview where his dressing room mate Eddie Kadi said that several people were carrying injuries. In particular on the day of that show, Nigel was injured & barely able to walk up to 2 hours before the show. It's a miracle he danced at all. No wonder his kicks "lacked retraction". Surely the powers that be &/ or judges must know about who is injured! No acknowledgement or allowances made apparently.

Remember Hamza last year wasn't as good in week 2 (Jive)and week 3 (Rumba)as he was in the rest of the competition and then in week 4 Hamza did the salsa and came back with a bang could this be the same as nigel?

So this was really good. I will say the only thing I found was it was a little bit flat footed at times and I don't know why but the dance didn't fully do it for me. But all in all a good dance. 6.

Score - *6/10* I had very high hopes and they weren't fulfilled for this, I enjoyed the performance and there was a good amount of energy but Nigel didn't keep the energy for the spins for the end, there was a couple of mistakes and hesitations throughout, I think had the Batman theme not been there he would have been exposed. It was one of those performances really, it relied too much on the theme and not so much on the technique but I know they will be back and doing better and serving us some amazing dances again it just didn't happen tonight sadly, but a great try and good partnership throughout.

I feel like the production team could’ve picked Nigel and Katya a better jive song from the movies. Off the top of my head movies like Footloose, Dirty Dancing, Mamma Mia or even an Elvis movie. Just something where he’s not smothered with a cape and headwear really! Nigel has been doing brilliant and it’s a shame he was given a joke dance like the Batman theme when he has so much potential !

This was good. Choreography was great, timing was good but however I didn’t see much kicks or flicks or retraction. But he’s really good though. He should do a Tango to this song or something like that. It was good though I liked this.

There were some strong elements to this, but not of the quality we've come to expect from Nigel. The kicks lacked retraction, he was a little bit crab legged and the spins at the end felt a bit haphazard. He can do better than this. 6

The dance was fun and enjoyable to watch, but I think was his weakest dance yet. Also what were those costumes??? 6/10 from me, Nigel enjoyed himself though which is amazing!

I mean, this is why I have a problem with Katya being his partner. She's a great choreographer, but she's quite silly and I really thought Nigel should've done something suave or smooth which suits him, you know? He deserves it, he's a brilliant dancer. Was a little bit disappointed to be honest.

I really wanted to love it, being Batman themed, I was hopeful. Sadly that was not impressive at all, 😢 I really wish it was a true Jive
