All the positive things being said about Jose Peseiro's Super Eagles in the comments section would not have been possible had this game not being played at a match venue with a GREAT playing surface. The groundsmen at the Uyo stadium have been doing a marvelous job for years and the NFF should stop playing politics with our football and make Uyo the permanent home of all our national teams until other venues meet its lofty standards.

What Super Eagles need going forward is high caliber friendly matches.The team is starting to shape up. I am glad the coach recognizes that Iheanacho is a playmaker. BUT UNFORTNATLEY - you seem to only cover Nigerian Football.. Which nothing is wrong with that of course... but if you covered ALL African National teams (& maybe big African club tournaments and games)... Not only would THAT WOULD BE CRAZY AWESOME... but also help your youtube channel grow... I am still going to subscribe, but hopefully you will take my advice and do more African nations. Because I know its outsiders like me who love African football as a whole and would love a channel like that. CHEERS AND JAH BLESSINGS!!!

The coach needs to talk to Taiwo Awoniyi and Victor Osimen. They are both deadly strikers, but they need to learn how to play for one another. They don't need to be confusing one another
@nzubeeva74809 ай бұрын
That's the more reason why he (the coach) shouldn't play two central forward at the same time.
@nduwubachidera91118 ай бұрын
The thing is that neither of them are used to playing in a 2-man strike force. When the ball goes in the box, they both rush in like a poacher would do. It's to do with their striker instincts. Just like Awoniyi shot instead of crossing, and then Osimhen got in the same situation and crossed but with less power in the first instance and with too much the next. But that confusion actually helps because it also confuses their markers. It's not optimal though so if both of them miss chances on a bad day, their lack of synergy will be badly exposed. That's why neither of Osimhen or Awoniyi assisted the other for the entire 6 goals, since a 2-man strike force should have 1 striker assisting the other Boniface is an option though and can have better synergy with Osimhen. When Osimhen's upfront, he drops deep and drags a defender with him, like for Osimhen's 3rd goal. When Osimhen shifts wide in a turnover or counter attack, he can play up front like he did to assist Chukwueze. All in all, Peseiro got his tactics spot on. Since Awoniyi and Osimhen were not in synergy, he had Iheanacho supply them from the right and through the middle as a no.10 When he took our supply off by subbing Nacho, he brought on Boniface to keep the supply going since we had no natural no 10 on the pitch
