I found Ganvie, Africa's biggest floating village with an intriguing history. The first settlers here in their attempt to escape slave capturers in the 1700s fled the mainland to build a village on water. 400 years later, their descendants still live here today, upholding its history and telling its legend.
Today the village has over 40,000 residents and thousands of tourists yearly coming to visit.
