Madurai was a Night life city in TamilNadu. "Thoonga Nagaram" Madura. In 3.00 am used to get Hot idlies nearby Periyar bus stand.Not sure how it is now. Hope Chennai also become Thoonga nagaram one day.

Night life, spas and maasge centres are there in huge numbers in countries like Thailand, Indonesia and philipines too...but these countries are neither IT Hub nor manufacturing HUB in global map...It is actually countries like singapore, dubai and India are the IT HUB giants...

In USA, their annual budget for Healthcare alone runs into trillions of dollars and huge spending on homeland security as well. Night life can take a huge toll on the physical and mental wellbeing; It's nature's way of telling us to slow down to replenish & rejuvenate, as humans are not inherently nocturnal, like owls for example. Having said that, there will always be pros and cons with any aspect of life. If we have a robust infrastructure to back and support, it can be economically viable, but should not come at the cost of our wellbeing and the environment.

East cost from chennai to Pondicherry has got lots of fishing villages, backwaters and beautiful paddy fields...Already the damage has started in the name of beach resorts. This world is not only for rich people.....Night life has got nothing to do with IT investments. Bangalore's traffic and cost of living is becoming night mare for every bangalorean...Hyderabad is just getting to that point...

Oh my god...Tourism is economy friendly? Really? In which world...? You need more resorts, villas and hotels to attract tourists which comes only by deforestation, destroying nature..is this not a damage ecology...Take Kerala as an example.. huge floodings, land slides are happening mainly because of deforestation and building of resorts...

Due to real estate land high prices mid class,poor cnt start a business,rental too will be high.. so first fix the real estate prices issues..every business done by rich whether people's are slaves to only pay taxes, commission for rich guys,politicians,police.. Bring down the real estate land prices as fixed price as gold,whole sale products..tis will make all peoples do business.. Education department who spoils people's life by stressing parents,childrens..relax school timing,less home work,less portions.. Youngsters relax office timing 8 hrs strict for hotels,manufacturing, industry's,marketing,sales guys,etc...all business sectors free them..only then business will boost people would be happy..

In and around chennai there were lots of small forests which had lots of endangered species(like IIT campus) which were destroyed to give away space for IT parks..Mahindra city was built after evacuating 11 villages from that place...Please don't say that IT industry is harmless to ecology
