This was an incredibly entertaining game, the banter was on point. I love the enemy unknown battle reports - I just wish we could see even more of them on larger boards (maybe having a fog of war mechanic and heavy amounts of terrain for larger games). Always love seeing good HH content!

To be fair, when it comes to engineers, I have been led to believe that for many of them, their job revolves around the fact that people can and will use the thing that they are making as a hammer and how that would impede the function of said thing. It's several months late, but these blind ZM batreps are great, and it's a lot of fun not only trying to figure out who has brought but also where it's deployed. 1 thing that might have made a bit of a change is that the Lion wouldn't have had +1 attack for charging since a multi charge counts as a disordered charge and he only just managed to kill the dread, with 1 less hit it would have survived his attack and more of the terminators would have had to attack it to finish it off. I'm also guessing the Paladin was given a boarding shield to give him heavy so that the unit could reroll armour saves against templates? As far as I was aware you can only use the ZM reactions, so no legion specific reactions unless you guys have decided to include them anyway but they seem a bit overpowered for it.

Lion would've also gotten an extra wound, since fleshbane against dreads means to reroll successful wounds, but armourbane means he rerolls failed wounds, both cancel out, but he still wounds on 2s against dreads with fleshbane, so he would've killed the dread regardless with that 3 to wound.

NL player here, I have 22 tac marines, and might bump it up to 33, but also have recon marines with snipers and shotguns Theyre not my favorite unit but they are veru useful

Escalating Progressive Scoring: Primary Objectives are worth an increasing number of points each turn. Potential examples: 1 point per turn, ending with 5 points per objective on Turn 5. I prefer half a point per turn, round down, so Turn 1 = 0 (to prevent lucky objective placement), Turn 2 = 1 point, Turn 3 = 1 point, Turns 4 and 5 = 2 points each. Secondaries should generally be between 1 and 3 points each, depending on how you want to balance the game. I also like a bonus for early Warlord kills as it discourages using them to carry your army (others feel the opposite, and this can result in funny outcomes if you can gun your opponents warlord off the table before they get a single charge off).

I gotta say who ever came up with the challenge system is an idiot the fact that say sigismund has to spend multiple turns fighting sergeants and apothecaries while everyone else gets to fight him just grinds my gears man wounds should 100% spill over into the rest like in 1.0

Dark Angels terminators hit on 2s while Night Lords terminators hit on 5s. Why is that?

Combination of Inner Circle being WS5 and the Deathwing rule for the 2+. Deathwing gives you a flat +1 to hit with swords. Atramentar are WS4, so they hit on 5s against WS5 in 2.0.

NL are possibly one of the best Legions, but you must leverage their strength - which is ganging up on smaller sized units. Josh did a poor job of this, splitting his forces almost evenly and then expecting to out-smash a legion that is fairly good at smashing. Also, Josh rolled fairly badly at key moments.

They really don't. My win rate is > 80% with them this edition. Can't draw too many conclusions from a ZM game and with this matchup.
