How close does someone need to be until they can spot the IR light?

@@fatdoodle4039 The brightness of the infrared LEDs does depend on the power setting you're using: The higher the power setting, the brighter the infrared LEDs will glow red. It's really hard to give distances to indicate how far away someone needs to be to see the red glow, but the glow is reduced a lot on the Cape model, which uses 940nm wavelength LEDs (which emit less red glow.) I hope this helps!

@@tainosavage2169 Yes, indeed you can! In order to use a Nightfox 110R with an external infrared flashlight, all you need to do is remove the lens cap (which doubles up as an IR filter.) Then, you can use any infrared flashlight without turning on the infrared LED on the unit itself. We hope this helps!

I’m looking for something light this to watch night skies with a zoom function, not sure if 4 X zoom is enough for my requirements as want to zoom-in on interesting things in a night sky. Great honest review. Cheers

I currently use the P1S0540 monocular (5 X 40mm) to view the night sky and have captured many objects. It is very economical and captures the same as the higher quality Yukon Ranger. Unfortunately it has low resolution in the recorded videos. A month ago I bought JSTOONE vision binoculars that are similar to this one, but you can't see anything in the night sky.

You can see much more with these in dark than a flash light, especially in wooded areas where trees will stop light from traveling and with these you can turn down the backlight and keep your natural night vision . Of course lime stated it's good for others not being able to see you.

i found that when i bought my night vision camera binoculars which cost me £335 the audio sound was 20 to 30 seconds out of synchronization with the video,i contacted the seller and said he would look into it that was 3 weeks ago.

What is the field of view of these (bi)noculars? I have bought one (mono) and the field of view is so narrow I can only watch the Moon. The 1x magnification equals to a 800mm lens in a ff camera. Way to much for me. And its got a very narrow depth of field. In pair with a very clumsy manual focus its generally useless. How about this Nightfox?

Hi great review. As a dog walker with a torch I often see & hear wildlife. But would this be good to use as a binocular when walking without using the torch all the time....

The performance is no where near Gen 2, but so is the price. I don't have this exact product but have similar ones. You could for sure see up to 100m with this. The main problem with digital is a slight lag, illumator which is slightly visible and super visible with other NV devices. Magnofied digital is also better than magnified Gen 1 in my experience

@@wolfpacak47 They aren't bad at all..I purchsed mine about year or so ago..Used them probably 4 times just around my yard for fun..It does it's job..I use external 940 and 850 IR flashlights with it but set my IR setting low on the device.
