Normally I hate when people make custom cafe builds of the NIghthawk S because I love how it looks stock, but you did a great job. Looks badass.

This is an awesome build! I have an 85 nighthawk sc that I have wanted to customize for some time now. I have seen pics of this bike on the web but just stumbled across the video, killer build!!

Just a quick question if you see this, how did you get the engine out? Did you start the teardown before you got it out of the frame or did you just shimmy it out? I've got a cb700 as well and try as I might I cannot get the assembled engine removed, and suggestions?
@vikmoto29034 жыл бұрын
Hi, build looks great!..wanted to know where did u buy the front forks and triple tree or which bike did they come off? I am looking to build a project bike so looking at parts and cost.
@JustMike27913 жыл бұрын
I'm lucky, I have three and 2 are in really good shape. The other can be fixed with money and time. Best bike I've ever owned. Those forks are of a Yamaha R1 or R6, '07-08 I think. They're highly desirable due the fact that they're inverted and they're made by KYB.

Thats an awesome build but man why do it on a 700s, those are so hard to find original in good condition.
@karljay74734 жыл бұрын
Wasn't all that long ago when there were plenty of them. I got 2 for me, but they don't get ridden that often. They are actually great bikes. I do wish he did that to a 750 thou, you still see those all over.

Why would you take a bike worth 5,000 to 10,000 if in perfect condition and tear it down to make something worth nothing when there are many other bikes that would have made a better choice ? What a shame !
@seabear24943 жыл бұрын
I mean cool I guess but trashing a perfectly good old original bike, especially what appears to be a 700sc in great shape is, for lack of better term, an asshole move and the reason people hate the whole cafe racer build fad.
@darkf345 жыл бұрын
i hate all cafe racers sh**s.. original designs rocks, allways. especially japanese bikes.
@renaissanceman71453 жыл бұрын
@pennless8 You think the styling of the '84, '85 and '86 CB700SC Nighthawk S is bad? To me the Nighthawk S is to motorcycles what a muscle car is to automobiles. Iconic, timeless, gorgeous!
@papatorr36692 жыл бұрын
Ruined a nearly perfect bike design! Loved all the cleaning, restoration, and fabrication skills. But a low clearance without skid plate and with off road tires is, um, ill informed shall we say. Simply, A stupid build.
