I have followed the Moody Blues starting with GO NOW ! That is 50+ years I have been to at least 20 of their concerts . I have listened late at night on my 8 track tape . Made love to several different woman with Moody Blue albums ,casetts ,CDs on . While listening to Nights In White Satin the emotions of a man's love for his woman is being expressed. In Jessica's version the roles are reversed she is expressing the intense feelings of a woman for a man . (I hope! ) Great rendition of what you were feeling from this classic. The sensual ,sexual , setting of the video heightened the journey.

You've given this the bitter edge which some of the lyrics suggest ("letters I've written - never meaning to send") both with the strobe light sequence and that driving guitar!

Reviewing this video again 2 Years later. This is really a unique cover. It captures the "orchestral" scope with its own sound. The replacement of the flute gives us an outstanding guitar solo. Kudos to the player! The entire piece is truly "psychedelic" as it represents the "mood" of the Moodies good. The Video work is also amazing and fine crafted.

It really bothers me that your cover does not have more views than it currently has. Nights in White Satin is one of my favorite songs as passed down through my father and you did excellent in your recreation of it.

Contrary to Mike England says,... I think this is a very Excellent Cover. I love the guitar solo, and it does have asort of dark edge like "Secret Agent Man", but t is a nice take on an old classic.

@@JessicaRottschafer This is so excellent, this is exactly the kind of music i love, and it amazes me that the YT search engine doesn't seem to get the reality of so many different people looking for stuff, off the beaten track, and who are looking beyond the surface, on toward artistry, with some depth. ( Like why am I just being pointed here after about 9 months of looking at "knight's in white satin"/ moody Blues videos???). YT has now been optimized for profit and just wants to show a lot of ads, they don't seem to realize that if they promote someone with under 1000 subscribers, that person would have a chance of finding their audience throughout the world,... and there are a lot of us who would appreciate that YT was doing what it was created for rather than just being a money grabbing entity. Also love the guitar solo very original, and full of surprises and So articulate... who plays it?

Like a large number of viewers, I am not keen on covers, as I really like some originals as they are. Perhaps the singers tone, the guitar work, the harmonies, et al.. But, every so often one comes along that is just so good that I am really pleased for the artist and my ears... Well done, Jess.... Beautiful.

While I think the music is decent, know that I filmed this 6 years ago on an old canon camera in my basement, so it's definitely not a professional grade music video. haha But thanks again for your comment!
