Friday Morning is a love song, written and recorded at the remote farm in Burton, Texas where Khruangbin got its start. To commemorate the song, the band asked their closest friends and family to record messages of love to each band member. In my opinion this is their masterpeice. It isnt as famous as some of their other tracks, but this one is a true exploration of loneliness, nostalgia, longing, serenity, humility and perhaps a bit of sadness. Amazing

I love how they're a mainly instrumental band. And if they use voice, it's more about the sound and melody than the words. That's universally appealing. Apparently they craft and sing any lyrics as all three members together. I love that too. I've never listened much to lyrics I always focus on melody in the voice.

Do you sometimes listen to a random song, half-attentively, and you just feel like you were meant to listen to it? I just lost my stepdad a few days ago and this song is the exact representation of all the emotions I was experiencing while he was in the Verge of leaving this earth 😢. It's truly an emotional rollercoaster, one minute you try to be happy and just focus on all the good memories, the next your faced with the realization that there's nothing that could be done. I'm truly heartbroken he's gone forever, but at the same time I'm also glad he's freed from all the pain. May his soul rest in peace 🙏

It's Christmas Day Today in South Africa and i lost my GrandMother in the morning....💔 Music can only calm me down. I'm glad i appreciated her while she was alive and showed her love always may she watch over her family and greet those who departed before her. Discovered slightly right before my first child was born Khruangbin has been the soundtrack of her first 3 years. Together my wife and I have been to about 6 of the 7 or 8 shows they've played in NYC and their music still fills the space within all the walls of our home. These 3 have brought much joy to our lives and I can only hope that it does the same for everyone who listens to them

saw and discovered this magnificent trio in 2018 while playing at Best Kept Secret and I think I can take a little credit for promoting them ever since....play their records almost daily in my store and countless times people have asked me ` who's this man !?`....and funny > every time I give them their name its like ` Krue who ??`.....🙂...writing it down is still the best option , and through me they've sold a couple of dozen albums more ...well deserved `cause they're unreal !!!

Wow. Years later, this is still the joint. It's a trip. A whole vibe. I remember the first time I ever heard this band. Funnily enough, it was on a trip to Koh Phi² and I was staying at the Holiday Inn. For those who know, that's the best view you can possibly get from a hotel/resort room on that island. The sun was setting and it was stunningly beautiful. And this song started playing on my KZfaq. That room had a Bose sound system and you can imagine the sound quality. And years later, I'm back at the same place, and this song is still as beautiful as the place in which it's being played.
