I've always liked the notion that Nightwing was Batman with less darkness, which makes Nightwing severely underestimated as a character.

I mean, Dick has a point. When everyone was powered, the DC earth had cities blown up and millions probably killed as collateral damage from all these superpowered fights. Obviously his methods are flawed, but this alternate universe had significantly fewer deaths. All while not going(too far) off the deep end unlike the injustice universe.

I love seeing the story of dick essentially going full Bruce Wayne after the death of Batman. And seeing dick go into the darkness it’s a very interesting concept to tackle. Great story

I love this because I swear they make Nightwing the punching bag in every show.

Lois Lane with the Blue Lantern ring was the most interesting concept of the book to me. I kind of want to see how that would go in the main continuity.

This is one of the best stories DC could offer. If only they could make a movie out of this. Thankyou comicstorian for another entertaining storytelling, you're the best.

The coolest part about this story is powerless superman. Seeing that even as a normal human, he still would become a hero nonetheless and be a badass is an awesome affirmation that he is so much more than his powers.

I love this story, but we really need a "Red Hood Kills the DC Universe" story. The story could be Jason loosing lots of his memories after being brought back to life, and Ra's Al Ghul tells him that he needs to kill the super heros, and villains to save the world. Jason would go to train around the world, and eventually go to kill the joker. He could become Red Hood as a sign of him surpassing the man that killed him. He could then break into the Batcave, and use Batman's contingency plans to kill the DC Universe. He could even change them slightly to fit his style more. Then towards the end he puts the pieces of his broken memories together, and kills Ra's. It doesn't have to be this story, but I'd love to see the idea.

Nightwing got so nerfed in the animated films they had to make a universe where he's op just to balance it out.

I love how this story is about why Nightwing took away superheroes powers but I feel like it’s never explained why, I know why he took Superman’s powers, But then you have the Justice League who still have their powers it seems like? It feels like this was more premise less story

Crazy how Nightwing is full blown evil and still did all of this to a DC universe, the power of intelligence the BatFamily has is madly underrated

Blue Lantern Lois Lane? Thats so cool! The Blues havent gotten any love since Geoff Johns' run and Brightest Day. Happy to also see they respected the really high power the blue light brings, with Lois not only able to go toe to toe with John Stewart, a doubtless better fighter, but also sheild everyone from the big explosion at the end

Honestly my favorite part of this is Dick and Kori having a son. Now can I just get an animated slice of life story with them as a family?

So I apologize if this is a dumb question but since it isn’t flat out explicitly said, is the reason Nightwing wanted to take away people with powers because in his mind if there were no people with powers then nobody would’ve been able to kill Bruce? Like I don’t see much context for why he hated everyone with powers rather than just Superman so figured I’d ask

What I don't like about these stories they don't take into account - Mongul, Darkseid, Braniac, the Dominators, Trigon or even Mr. Mind (final form) attacking Earth.

I never liked this story as there was no repercussions for Nightwing over how far he took this and nearly destroyed his friends.

I love how nightwing basically turns into Batman after Bruce’s death, it makes for a very interesting story and many great concepts that could happen later on.

Taking away superpowers is a damn good storyline. It's always super satisfying to see how they go about their world without them.

This was so good like I felt like Nightwing was reasonable in his motives but it was also clear he had gone overboard. And the bit about Jake wanting to show him the good in the world the same way he did batman was so well written. I'd love this as a movie or even as a more linear story based single player game honestly

I love the Miracle Man story by marvel. The more recent one. It’s a deconstruction of Shazam and Superman but set in the UK. It’s got a great philosophy on alter egos

I find it amazing that, even though he made mistakes, Nightwing learns to move one from them and teach children about how to use their powers instead of dwelling on his past mess-ups.

This story ignores one major issue: extraterrestrial super threats. But when it's the Bat Family, logic and good writing never gets in the way of a W.

The idea isn't just to remove powers, its to keep powers from appearing... as long as 1 person has powers, Richard's plan was destined to fail... BTW, Nightwing Vs The DC Universe title made me think of Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe, luckly this had a happier ending

Okay, can we talk about how cool this new costume of Mister Freeze? When I first saw him he was honestly terrifying.

Grayson effectively stripping almost all metas seems ludicrously impossible once they know what he's doing, but it's still a good story.

lucky when kyle Higgins came to Dublin I was able to meet him randomly in a pub one day and he showed me the uncoloured artwork of the first few pages of the first issue before it came out. when it was being worked on.

This kinda mimics the craziness irl these days when you think about it. If you really look hard at it it's a warning about how we have to be careful with how we approach things, or we risk creating worlds like this. A world where freedom is an illusion carved by well meaning people. At least that's how I always see stories like these, & let's face it these comic book writers often leave such messages hidden in their stories.
