Tuomas is a certified natural sciences nerd as he has written songs inspired by Carl Sagan (Sagan), Richard Dawkins & Charles Darwin (The Greatest Show on Earth & Procession) & Eugene Shoemaker (Shoemaker). Maybe it's because as children both he and Floor wanted to become biologists as grown-ups. In an interview Floor told that the "operatic" vocals in this song took some extra effort to get just the way she wanted. Only after they had added the choir to the track that she added her vocals into & she had the opportunity to sing the vocals in her home studio, she nailed them. P.S. Laudato si' = Praise be to you, Ad Astra = to the stars, so together they mean roughly "Praise be to the stars".

This is one of the songs that originally threw me off at first. I thought that it didn't flow well at first, but after subsequent listens, it started to sink in. I know Floor is an amazing vocalist, but I'm surprised that she could pull off the complicated time signatures involved with this one. She an did incredible job...how could I have ever doubted her? haha! Great song. Cheers!

Beautiful song. Probably the best of the album objectively speaking (if such thing exists in music). Notice the triple harmonies in the calm parts, lead is sung by Troy, then you have Floor at the right and Marko in the left.
