Fun fact: Tuomas (keyboards) composes about 90% of the songs and also composes and works with real Orchestras and choirs to create the symphonic back tracks you hear in most of their songs. It's not synthesized but real instruments recorded since they could not go on tour with them. NW is always an Epic, Cinematic Event and a huge enjoyment watching with others who enjoy this energy!

It was not just duo, but trio! You could clearly hear Troy in the mix. And the backing tracks are recorded with London Symphony Orchestra, so they have all kinds of instruments indeed.

Marko has done a lot outside Nightwish, but you can hear Marko doing the the vocals alone with Nightwish too: "High Hopes" Helsinki 2005, a tribute to Pink Floyd, Nightwish makes the song heavier than the original PF version. Marko(rock voice), is amazing on vocals, so is the band as a whole. "The Islander" is another one with Marko (mellow, clean, beautiful voice, more power towards the end of the song) entertaining the crowd of 24 000 people in Tampere 2015 practically on his own, the man and his bouble neck guitar, this time he is using the guitar part only. Rest of the band joining him towards the end of the song. Totally different from any other Nightwish song, with folky Celtic vibes, brought by Troy, the multi-instrumentalist from the UK. Composition by Marko himself, lyrics by Tuomas, the keyboardist, the mastermind behind Nightwish. The song wasn't a good fit for Markos own band, so Tuomas thought it could be a Nightwish song. Marco has an Excellent voice.. If they need some rasp, he gives it to them.. If they need some heavy harsh vocals, he does that as well. But, he can also sing clean harmonies with Floor also. He does Nightwish songs that feature his more than Floor.. I you want something heavy he sings, They do a Tribute cover of the Pink Floyd song call "High Hopes" it excellent and it only has a Male vocal so he sings it.. There is also a heavy song he sings in called Master, Passion Greed.. Nightwish did this in the gap after Tarja and before Floor...
