Greetings from Finland & thanks for this reaction. There are people saying that this song is about Tuomas' secret love & lust for Tarja. P.S. Metallica's current bassist, Robert Trujillo, once said that Nightwish's touring equipment is always top of the line & so expensive that Metallica dares to use such equipment only in the studio.

The true story behind this beautiful song was written in a book called 'Nightwish' , published in year 2006. In this book Tuomas tells how these lyrics were born. He and his girlfriend back then went to a bar in his own hometown Kitee. There was quite wild party going on at the bar that night. Some guys approuch them and started to behave quite disrespectfully towards his girlfriend. Even by few guys, whom he partly knew and these guys knew she was Tuomas's girlfriend. So Tuomas got very upset and angry and tells in this book how suddenly the words "wish I had an angel" came up to his mind. Afterwords he thought these are actually quite corny words but might anyhow work as lyrics to a song. This is how this beautiful song called "wish I had an angel" was born. Tarja was in the band when this song got released. So it's not about her situation. It's from the album Once, same as Nemo, Ghost Love Score, Romanticide... Absolute banger of song, I love it, both singers but specially with Floor, love how she performs it. And of course Marko slays that chorus.

Someone says that sometimes they need medical help so it's easier than having the medical person going through the crowd. I never heard of that before.

Yeah,like people have mentioned allready. If you really really need to go,crowd surfing will get you to the toilet quicker then trying to move between thousands of people. BUT,crowd surfing is also for emergency situations,like people being overheated,dried out. Some might also start fainting,and then the crowd actually works as a "stretcher" for the ones needing medical care etc. Has been a few incidents over the years to with panic attacks and such (claustrophobia for some is quite common,the crowd just gets too overwhelming) Thanks to the crowd surfing,they quickly get a breather and can relax backstage somewhere. Allways some medical personel who can look after them,making sure everything is allright. Defintly looks like that one guy has been nosediving in the mudpit😂Or people with muddy hands where guiding him to security.....1 of the 2,maybe even a good mix lol.

Marko continues to amaze. He has a VAST amount of experience from YEARS of fronting his own band. He is very well known in Northern Europe as a solid performer. He has worked on a lot f projects. I heard someone say once in a comment section of a video (can't vouch for the truth of the story), that the song was inspired when some one said to Tuomas that they wish they had his girlfriend.

The people are crowd surfing because it is just about the only way to go to the toilet.
