The Japanese are such a beautiful people. I'm glad for their sake some folks are trying to preserve the old customs, which I find most gracious and lovely!

While my family was stationed in Misawa Japan in the mid 70s, my parents and another couple were invited to a friend's Shinto wedding. The Priest's assistant invited them in to sit in on the ceremony. It was a great honor to be invited in.

This is so lovely that I’m still watching it all the way through, and it’s 2021. The bride and her wedding kimono are beautiful, and the groom is so handsome and dignified in his haori and hakama (please excuse me if that’s the wrong word- I looked it up on Google). They both look so happy! I hope they have had a good life together since then, and I hope they have many more years of happiness together.

There is no single kissing shown to the bridegroom in front of public, just to respect the attendees and show how respectful and great japanese culture is. Kissing and some other things are supposed to be cherished privately and exclusively between spouses.

I'm crying too !! I'm thinking about our weddings in Italy so different and far thousands of kms. Very elegant and beautiful dresses ! :-)
